An American classic

A diner you should experience at least once. Go during the week & the owner is hostess, waitress and even the cook. Hey its a diner NOT fine dinning but , your typical greasy spoon so level set your expectations and you wont be let down. Try it once; perhaps not on the regular return list as the... read more

Our worst diner breakfast ever. $31 for two bad breakfasts!!!! Here is what we got for that: one 2 egg ham & cheese omelet, one 3 egg spinach & cheese omelet (overcooked), potatoes (cubed, fried overcooked w/no seasoning), toast (burned), 1 coffee, 1 tea, 1 OJ. Would have been more satisfied with fast-food breakfast for $10. I would rather go... More

This diner is next to a former railroad depot. I liked the décor, and the food. I liked the turkey sandwich, and the ice cream that they served.

Went there for lunch and breakfast a few years ago and it was very good(we do not live in the area).I went back for lunch last week and oh what a change.Very limited lunch menu, not even a hot turkey sandwich on it which is a basic diner staple. The chicken soup looked like it had old wilted leaves of some sort... The old train was cool I pass it every time I go skiing. Finally tried it, the hand cut fries are from a bag and my daughters were well done and my wife's were soggy and the oil tasted old. The hamburgers are paper thin and seem to be from a bag also. The two egg omelet was brown on... More

We were really looking foward to a classic American breakfast and we were not disappointed. the food was exactly as we wanted served hot and fresh. the owners are awesome and this is a long established diner with historic value. we highly recommend for the food and authentic atmosphere

We thought we would stop seeing it was a "diner". It was terrible, the owner came in went behind the counter and ate french fries, right there with his hands. Like another reviewer commented, the owner is loud, obnoxious, and rude. I do think that the health inspector needs to go in and check this place out. It is overpriced... More

I am surprised at some of the comments about this Diner. We found it by chance when passing through the area. We only had a snack but it was very good. The lady running the place, cooking, waitressing etc. was lovely and very friendly. She was happy for us to take some pictures too. It is an authentic Diner, which... More

Let me start by prefacing: If you are looking to commit suicide through food poisoning this is the place to go. I ordered a pancake with the thought that it would be pretty difficult to mess that order up. Yet, Collins diner amazingly succeeded. I took a bite out of said pancake and was taken by surprise when I crunched... More
