We thought we would stop seeing it was a "diner". It was terrible, the owner came in went behind the counter and ate french fries, right there with his hands. Like another reviewer commented, the owner is loud, obnoxious, and rude. I do think that the health inspector needs to go in and check this place out. It is overpriced... More

I am surprised at some of the comments about this Diner. We found it by chance when passing through the area. We only had a snack but it was very good. The lady running the place, cooking, waitressing etc. was lovely and very friendly. She was happy for us to take some pictures too. It is an authentic Diner, which... More

Let me start by prefacing: If you are looking to commit suicide through food poisoning this is the place to go. I ordered a pancake with the thought that it would be pretty difficult to mess that order up. Yet, Collins diner amazingly succeeded. I took a bite out of said pancake and was taken by surprise when I crunched... More

Awesome breakfast, awesome waitresses, a step back in time. The town is right out of a Norman Rockwell painting. My only complaint the food was a bit pricey.

I've visited this diner a few times to try to really give it a fair chance. Each time the food was marginal, but the bill was always high. I think this might be the last time. Two eggs, two slices of processed turkey meat, and a coffee, just about $10. Okay, maybe the eggs were organic as they say, but... More

I have read some pretty stupid reviews on this place and they are way off base. We had breakfast here at 7:00 AM. When we walked in I felt like we went back in time. It's an old fashion diner with old fashion charm. The woman who did all the cooking, serving, and conversation was great. Everyone that walked into... More

We travel on our bike to diners in NH MA CT RI. While the Collins diner is located in a cool spot. the food was aweful. Started with vegetable beef soup with rice, it came cool and tasted like the box the rice comes in. The 1 green bean was from a can, a speck of carrot, and something that... More

We stopped at what we thought was a quaint establishment and yes the building is from the 1940's. I think the food is also! When we were waited on we ordered sodas. When asked if we wanted large or small, we replied small. What was served was about 2oz, of soda with two ice cubes in a juice glass- price... More

This place is not like the famous New Jersey diners that have huge menus and offer so many items it takes half an hour to even read all the selections. This diner is a sandwich and hamburger joint with rather nice breakfasts served all day. The diner is really historic (on the national historic landmark list) and they have not... More
