A Typical Thanksgiving Feast in Beautiful Surroundings

After years of trying, I finally convinced my mother and friends to go out for Thanksgiving Dinner. The Golden Lamb Experience is one in a million. Before you die - this is the place to go. From the welcome at the barn door, the drinks the camaraderie, the cheese platter that welcomes you. Then... read more

A little on the pricey side but in my opinion, well worth the money. The food was outrageous and the decor was very antique like, and rustic. The view in the fall with the tree color change was magnificent. I hear it is even nicer in the summer with outdoor dining. I have lived in Brooklyn for 10 years, finally... More

We have been to Golden Lamb more than a dozen times or more. We owned a home in Brooklyn and now reside on Webster Lake. We went with our friends to celebrate their first anniversary. It is important to note their wedding, although small, maybe 16 guests, was at Golden Lamb last year. Our friends are generous tippers they gave... More

Where to begin? A meal at the Golden Lamb Buttery is a delightful assault on your senses. All of them! First you eat in a barn...on a knoll overlooking a lush green pasture rolling gently away from you to a lake below. Mules and horses graze peacefully. You are about to! You enter the barn from the front, wander down... More

My husband and I plus another couple had lunch at this wonderfully quaint restaurant. Our meals were out of this world! Totally recommend paying this venue a visit. We started our meal on a deck overlooking beautiful scenery and then went inside which we found interesting and inviting.

It's an old red barn sitting in the middle of one of the most pastoral settings you could imagine. Take a walk through the barn, enjoying the antiques and memorabilia as you walk. Step out onto the deck and gaze at a peaceful scene of a lake Enjoy a view of well kept fields and fences and who knows, perhaps... More

This is a perfect place for a leisurely lunch with friends on a sunny summer afternoon. If you choose to eat on the outdoor deck, you can watch the sheep and donkeys graze and the grass grow as you await your food. Most of our table ordered fish pies, a creamy and delicious mix of haddock, shrimp, potatoes, and corn... More

Gorgeous country setting for wedding reception. Historic barn on working farm with gorgeous views off large deck. May be rustic in style, but beautifully maintained in and out with a gourmet dining restaurant. Staff was exceptional and extremely accommodating. Put this place in your bucket list when visiting the area!

Quite possibly the best afternoon of relaxation I've spent this year. Sitting on the deck with a book, followed by an apperitif and then a farm fresh lunch in a rustic and historic barn, with antiques galore. Go there, drive there make the trip...its so worth it.

The Golden Lamb Buttery is a not-to-be-missed experience in Brooklyn, CT. When you are arrive, you are welcomed into an old barn, which serves as the venue for cocktails and appetizers before dinner. Thereafter, you are free to sit out on the balcony overlooking the rolling green hills dotted with sheep. It is truly a beautiful site! One of my... More
