Worth it.

Last minute decided we wanted a good steak....we got great. We had no reservation and they worked us in, albeit later than they said. The prices are comparable to those of the major chain steakhouses (Chris,Morton,Capital Grill, etc) but the beef is not as good -- not as high a grade of prime. I also found the service somewhat slow and lackadaisical the day I was there. On the other hand there aren't that many choices in Bridgeport so its a good place to... More

Every once in a while I crave a steak. So I pop into Joseph's steakhouse. I sat at the bar. I ordered a porterhouse steak for two and the home fries. The steak was delicious and the home fries with the special steak sauce was satisfying. To top it off I enjoyed the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. The... More

I come here many times during the year and order the same thing every time. The porterhouse for two is spectacular and the creamed spinach is so good. Your going to spend some money so come prepared, but it's worth the money. The waitstaff is top notch and will take care of you. Ask for Kevin or Joseph(not the owner).... More

Joseph's is definitely a New York quality steakhouse. Better than Morton's and Ruth's Chris. If you want steak in Connecticut, go to Joseph's, period! I recommend the Porterhouse. They have a broiled salmon choice on the menu, but I suspect someone may venture out from the kitchen and slap you if you order it! Don't do it! Steak only, or... More

A true old fashioned steak house, right in Bridgeport. The service was impeccable, and the steaks and sides were beyond our expectations - better than Ruths Chris and other steakhouses we have been to in NYC. The bacon appetizer is an absolute MUST. There are no words to describe it besides maybe WOW. And that's an understatement!

The great reviews are accurate. This is a great steak restaurant on a par with Ruth Chris or Morton's. In addition to a Cheers like Bar atmosphere the restaurant offers a full menu of aged beef with good side dishes and dinner options for non steak eaters... I think there are a few of them around. The best attribute is... More

I am not a big meat-eater but the delectable quality of steak and meat at this restaurant are undeniable. For a celebratory meal (bring money) this would be hard to beat. Make sure to have the bacon appetizer (I didn't know bacon could taste like this...it will ruin you for any other kind hereafter) and the creamed spinach side dish.... More

I visited Joseph's because I had been here before (4 - 5 years ago), I wanted steak, and I was alone for the evening. I walked in at 7:30 on a Sunday night, and was met by Kevin and Joseph (not the owner) but he works so hard, you would think he might be. The wine list is tremendous (and... More
