I drove down to Branford from my home town, which was almost an hour away. I was surprised to see it closed, unless it moved, but I could not see any signs or indication of that. Then had the long ride home....unfortunately wasted an entire afternoon.

4/27/2014 My wife and I were looking to enjoy the nice weather and drive up the line to the Branford area which we love. We drove an hour out of Fairfield County intending to try out SGG. We have absolutely no regrets and will go back with some friends when the weather really gets nice. The place is small but... More

We loved the sustainability slant to this restaurant. Earthenware crockery, hessian table tops, sustainable straws for drinks and stones/driftwood everywhere. The food was exactly what we wanted - home cooked, great flavor, appropriate portions, no ketchup and an emphasis on taste rather than quantity. A fabulous change from the mass produced, sauce covered, mega portioned restaurants around these days. Kim... More

Dinner at the SeaGrass Grill was absolutely delicious. We feasted on the Local Seafood Chowder, the Grilled Patty King Oysters, the Local Fisherman's Catch, Salt Marsh Farm Slow Roasted Pure Grass Fed Porterhouse Steak (a mouthful indeed) and Seared Brussels Sprouts. Neringa, our Server, was very attentive and Kim, the owner, came over to introduce herself and provide details of... More

I went there once when they just opened and the food was good. I appreciate the whole farm to table concept. Branford and surrounding area has an abundance of good to excellent restaurants and this place is probably worth giving a shot just to mix it up. My mother is a fan of "green restaurants" too and likes to support... More

My wife and i have gone to the Sea Grass Grill a number of times and we simply love it. Kim the owner is a very nice person. Kim knows everything about every menu item. It is a real pleasure to have farm fresh foods and have them prepaired in special fashion. If you go you should save room for... More

The staff was very friendly and Kim the owner /chef was very gracious... definitely go for dinner!

We loved this place! Their angle is farm to table; they work with local farmers, buying what's good that day, so the menu changes all the time. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, and we found the portion sizes to be just fine: not grossly oversized as in most restaurants, where we end up unpleasantly stuffed. I must mention the... We recently went to the SeaGrass Grill for quick dinner and really enjoyed it. My husband had scallops on a bed of squash risotto and I had corn fritters. Both were very tasty and beautifully plated. It's clear the owner is passionate about bringing very fresh food to her clients - they don't even have a freezer! So everything is... More
