Le Petit Cafe offers an appealing blend of imaginative food, impeccable service and comfortable surroundings. I had the gazpacho, duck breast and flourless chocolate cake, while my dining partner had the crab and the scallop ceviche, rack of lamb and apple tart. Perfectly dressed salads also accompanied our meals. Everything tasted delicious, looked beautiful and was served with an easy... More

I love Le Petit Cafe. This is the only restaurant that I love going back to dine. The ambience is cozy, romantic and warm. The qualitiy of the food is out of this world. The Prix Fix menu is outstanding. Everything on the menu is delicious, presentation and portion are perfect. Roy, the chef and Winnie, his wife are the... More

After friends recommended Le Petit in Branford, we were so pleased finally to have the opportunity to dine there. The village green cafe is charming for a lovely, unhurried evening meal. Your hosts and chef welcome the diners, and clearly many of the people who go there are friends and regular customers. The menu is prix fixe and there is... More

Classic French fused with some Asian and other influences. Founded by the family of Jaques Pepin, but long owned and run by Hong Kong natives Roy & Winnie Ip. I have always been suspicious of restaurants with long menus. How could they do so many things well? How could the food be fresh? No problem with that here. All meals... More

We went to Le Petit Cafe for our anniversary and had a tremendous experience. We were able to get a reservation a day in advance. My husband mentioned I had allergies and I was advised to call back the following day and ask to speak to the chef. I called and spoke directly with Chef Roy Ip and we went... More

Le Petit Cafe has never failed to serve the highest quality of fine food since they first opened. Last night the menu was especially delightful from the gazpacho topped with avocado and crab meat to the sushi grade Ahi tuna with the most delicious crusting to the always delicious flour less chocolate cake. Roy and Winnie are warm and gracious... More

This was my second trip to this lovely little French restaurant in Branford, Ct. The owner and chef comes from China. It has been highly rated by Zagat, and is a steal for the money ($54 for a 4 course price fixe dinner). Service is very good and the setting is small and quiet. Menu is limited but excellent. You... Roy and Winnie Ip have created a restaurant which is the perfect setting for life events! Each four course meal is wonderful. Diners have a choice of appetizers, entrees and desserts and are also treated to a salad course and delicious home made bread. The atmosphere is French bistro; the noise level never rises to an uncomfortable din; and the... More

Very nice little French spot tucked away on the Branford Green. They were happy to accommodate us for a late seating on a Friday night- the hostess, server and chef/owner were all so warm and friendly. Plentiful options on the prix-fixe menu along with amazing fresh baked bread. It was a really great night and wonderful food. Go and enjoy!
