Lovely atmosphere with a diverse menu and good portions. Filet of sole was fresh, pasta orrechiette special and risotto were well prepared, with generous portion sizes. Bruschetta appetizer was lacking, but everything else made up for it. Nice, reasonably priced wine list. Hostess (owner maybe?) was helpful and genuinely interested in our assessment of dinner. Always enjoy visiting this restaurant.... More

I love having dinner here either with just my husband or with my extended family. I am regular who enjoys the REAL italian food, the friendly atmosphere and the lovely décor. If you try it one time, you will become regulars too. Great food!

If you are looking for great Italian food and a short wait to be seated, this is the place to go. In the greater Danbury to Southbury corridor along I 84 there are limited restaurant alternatives. This somewhat remote location between exits 8 and 9 has become one of my favorites. The food is always great... The chicken Parmesan is... More

We visited on a weekday night. Table cloths and floral decor created a cozy warm atmosphere. Simple Italian fair and an assortment of wines by the glass furthered the experience. Bet fairly priced dinner as well. We will return.

I received a gift card to Armandos and my husband and I decided to go on a recent Monday night. The dining room was empty and there were a few patrons in the bar area watching a game. There was no noise in the dining room from other diners to buffer it so my husband and I were regaled with sportcasting,... More

At Armando's, you are always greeted promptly with a smile and a warm welcome. If you request a deviation from the food menu, they are happy to meet your request. Best of all, the food is wonderful. There is also a cozy bar, with a friendly bartender, which is a great place to go for an apres-dinner specialty coffee. If... More

Been going to Armando's for 15 years. Had lunch there twice over the past month. Lunches are such a bargain, and the food is great: old time good and hearty Italian food. Pasta with shrimp or broccoli rabe, veal or chicken. Comfortable booths, pleasant waitstaff.....what could be bad? Not sure about the criticism--perhaps dinner is not the bargain that lunch... More

My wife and I are long time regulars and definitely recommend Armando's without hesitation for any occasion. The food is outstanding and always very fresh. Vinegar peppers with veal chops or chicken, vodka sauce, shoemaker, fried zucchini, pizza, chicken parm sandwich with bolognese sauce, the house salad dressing, even the bread is fantastic. The Roma family and their staff are... More

We stopped by the Sons of Italy festival over at the Amerigo Vespucci Hall. This was only our second one ever. I was shocked to find out that I already knew who made the tripe that I first fell for last year. It's the very place I breeze past somewhat regularly on my way from Target over to the Big... More
