This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is a family run business with very attentive staff! The food here is always good. We love their bruschetta and their salads. My husband enjoys their specials- they always have a good salmon or seafood special. I love their eggplant or their stuffed shells. My kids love their chicken Parmesan! Don't forget... More

I had one of the most memorable meals in a long time at Armando's last week. Seared sea scallops over polenta with a side of sautéed escarole. Scallops were perfectly seared on the outside and succulent on the inside. Sautéed escarole with garlic was included. I always order Armando's sautéed escarole so having it offered as the side with my... More

We were over-nighting in the Danbury area while on a road trip and asked the front desk clerk at our hotel for a recommendation for a family-owned, independent Italian restaurant in the area. He recommended Armando's which I had already seen as a possibility on the internet, so we were happy to give it a try. What a great choice!... More

Lovely atmosphere with a diverse menu and good portions. Filet of sole was fresh, pasta orrechiette special and risotto were well prepared, with generous portion sizes. Bruschetta appetizer was lacking, but everything else made up for it. Nice, reasonably priced wine list. Hostess (owner maybe?) was helpful and genuinely interested in our assessment of dinner. Always enjoy visiting this restaurant.... More

I love having dinner here either with just my husband or with my extended family. I am regular who enjoys the REAL italian food, the friendly atmosphere and the lovely décor. If you try it one time, you will become regulars too. Great food!

If you are looking for great Italian food and a short wait to be seated, this is the place to go. In the greater Danbury to Southbury corridor along I 84 there are limited restaurant alternatives. This somewhat remote location between exits 8 and 9 has become one of my favorites. The food is always great... The chicken Parmesan is... More

We visited on a weekday night. Table cloths and floral decor created a cozy warm atmosphere. Simple Italian fair and an assortment of wines by the glass furthered the experience. Bet fairly priced dinner as well. We will return.

I received a gift card to Armandos and my husband and I decided to go on a recent Monday night. The dining room was empty and there were a few patrons in the bar area watching a game. There was no noise in the dining room from other diners to buffer it so my husband and I were regaled with sportcasting,... More

At Armando's, you are always greeted promptly with a smile and a warm welcome. If you request a deviation from the food menu, they are happy to meet your request. Best of all, the food is wonderful. There is also a cozy bar, with a friendly bartender, which is a great place to go for an apres-dinner specialty coffee. If... More
