Recently dined with my wife and her cousin. Upon being seated the waiter explained the daily specials, which I promptly ordered. Arugula salad with lobster followed by wild boar tagliatelle was fantastic. We also went with the wine of the day that was perfect with the meal. Wish I lived in the neighborhood as this would be my favorite restaurant.

There hasn't been a time we have been here (and it has been over 50 times) that we have been disappointed. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish, including the staff.

I had a weird experience on my wife's birthday a couple of years ago. We ordered surf and turf and calamari. Both were ice cold to the touch, though they were cooked. Not sure how that happens or if that's a standard practice. When I say ice cold - I mean refrigerator temperature - very cold. I actually implored the... More

I have eaten here a few times and most recently on Sunday evening for dinner. We were seated promptly and greeted by our waiter however he smelled of cigarette smoke which was of putting. We ordered a selection of appetizers which were wonderful and we were so looking forward to our main meal, our dinner host and my husband both enjoyed... More

I stay in Connecticut a lot and have eaten out frequently but have generally been disappointed by the quality of the cooking and prices charged. I asked around and was recommended to try La Zingara. A pleasant and attentive greeter showed us to a table and immediately provided complimentary water, Italian bread and olives with plenty of oil for dipping.... More

I have visited La Zingara several times, and I have never had a bad meal or even something marginal. The food here is amazing, and the staff is always knowledgeable and cordial. It's sort of modern-regional Italian and there are many creative and clever twists on the classics. The wine selection is really good as well! I have never gone... More

Note to TripAdvisor: La Zingara is listed twice for top rated restaurants for Bethel. What is the distinction between them? We went to their rooftop restaurant, Ecco. Wood fired oven creates some great food and pizza. It is not pizzeria trying to be a casual, classy restaurant, but it is not a restaurant trying to be a pizzeria. They managed... More

Fun menu and unique items. Have dined here for dinner and brunch several times. Food is always consistent. A great place to eat, however a little pricey.

Great evening with friends at the rooftop restaurant. We had a selection of small dishes, all were great (except perhaps the cold quinoa with the salmon!). Overall a good experience, friendly service and nice location.

We go here every couple of months for a special treat. Really nice food, excellent atmosphere and service. They are also often in various promotions, like Bethel Restaurant week, and restaurant.com. Love it, have never been disappointed there. They also have a new rooftop area, which I think it open air in warm weather. Have not yet tried that.
