Rented a mountain cabin for our 30th anniversary in August. Decided we wanted ice cream but couldn't find a creamery so decided to try Joanies instead. It was an awesome decision. By coincidence, they had only chocolate and vanilla ice cream. The cashier suggested a pecan or hazelnut drizzle that was awesome! I saw a sign that said "quiche". We... More

We've eaten here 5-6 times in the past few years. Food is always good, worker bees are friendly. I've tried their salads and sandwiches and never been disappointed. Portions are relatively modest so if you're looking for tons on food, this might not be your place.

Joanie's has fresh ingredients and their omelets are delicious. French toast good, green Chile pretty good. Prices very reasonable and service very good.

How bad can a "deli" be? Go here and find out. It was bad the first time, but since we were across the street again this year, we thought about another try. Bad idea. I ordered the rare roast beef on sourdough with banana peppers (extra cost). I got a white bread sandwich that the bread was so stale that... More

We popped by today on our way to the lake for what we were hoping would be a quick to-go order. Instead we waited in a long line in a very small cramped space. Our order took 15 mins to receive once we finally got through the line. We saw people that ordered after us get their food before us... More

My husband and I eat here for breakfast about twice a month. The food is always good and made to order. I love the juevos rancheros and my husband likes the corned beef hash. I also crave the chicken salad wrap and the apple walnut salad. You can taste the quality in the food at Joanie's and the service is... More

Friendly? Yes. Good food? Yes. But without distinction. Nice place? Is it quaint or is it shabby? We had the veggie egg sandwich and the breakfast burrito. The eggs were bland and the green chili was sour. All in all we don't intend to go back.

however, for the location in a mountain/tourist town, you do expect to pay more, so that's just a matter of personal opinion. My husband and I each had the club sandwich ($10 for a full sandwich on regular bread and one side), and he proclaimed it "hearty". It had a nice taste. The potato salad was dry though, and the... I am a coffee snob. LOL Joanie's has great coffee beans. Not sure who their roaster is but very good latte's. Food is very fresh. Made as you watch. Great bakery items. Outside sitting area that lets you enjoy the beautiful Colorado mountains. Come. Enjoy :-) They close at 4pm so don't miss out
