The food and atmosphere were great, as well as the band that was playing. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We waited for an abnormally long time to be greeted by our server after being seated, we waited for a long time for her to take our order, we waited for abnormal amount of time for our food, and then... Can in to have the Cajun Sampler and Gumbo soup. After sampling the Beer cheese soups boldness, I quickly changed from my Gumbo selection. The Southern Sampler was excellent along with a very friendly server Jenny. 3 families came in read the menu and left. Boy did they really miss a great tasting menu.

The food offered on the menu was widely varied, with an emphasis on fish, though meat items were offered in a wide selection. The salads were large and well prepared. It would be a good place for meat eaters and non-meat eaters alike. The appetizer menu had a lot of variety to it. We didn't try the wine due to... More

Stumbled on this restaurant on the way out of Rocky Mountain National Park. Cozy place with some interesting New Orleans style food. Try the bouillabaisse- it was great! Good wine list, too.

As two couples, we all enjoyed very tasty, if pricey, meals. For the price one expects a little better ambience. Tables are all in one room, which we shared with a wedding rehearsal dinner. There were constantly two or three people in line for the two, inadequate one-stall restrooms. I waited a long time to ask for ketchup for my... More

We are well-experienced with Louisiana-style cooking as we have eaten it all our lives in the homes of our relatives and family friends. Fontenot's menu includes Cajun standards such as po boys and gumbo, but also offers inspired chicken and pasta entrees, and grilled or blackened fish entrees. The New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp appetizer was prepared with way more Worcestershire... More

Fontenot's serves consistently good and spicy food, but every so often they have a really great group to go with it. Tight Like That played at the brunch on the 4th of July this year. The seafood gumbo topped with eggs includes shrimp/crawfish that are certainly NOT native at 9000 ft. The toasted cornbread with syrup finishes a spicy lunch... More

The outside of this restaurant does not match the inside. This place was so cute and very delicious!! Some of the best gumbo I have ever had. Everyone who worked there was very nice.
