A little gem off the beaten path

We wanted a low key but good place on Valentine's Day and found this joint on open table. The location is in a strip mall but do not be fooled, the place is good. We had the mussels for an appetizer and both had steaks cooked to perfection. The side were delicious (blue cheese scalloped... read more

This steak place was located near to our hotel and recommended by the front desk. After a long day of driving on wicked roads we decided to relax. Everything was very good, the prices were a little on the higher end, but we knew that before we went.

We had been driving all day and just wanted to unwind and have some food. We ordered a beer and a well drink along with salads and two appetizers. My well drink was not good, they said they had put in new 7up but it still tasted like soda water. Eventually after a second try, I had them bring me... More

The bad - my wife and I always wanted to try Luke's. Took her there for her birthday. Booked reservation on Luke's website, easy. Host acknowledged our occasion upon entry and seating (I indicated when booking), no further mention rest of our visit. Atmosphere is not warm, inviting or cozy for the price point of the steaks. Large glass strip... More

We have gone to Luke's many times over the years and love it! The restaurant is intimate and family friendly. Their steaks cannot be beat! The service is consistently gracious. It is a little pricey but the quality of the food is well worth it! The baked potatoes are excellent as are the baked sweet potatoes. Some of the extra... More

The staff are friendly and helpful. The owner and his wife try and walk through occasionally to say 'hello' and get to know people. The food is very good, and prices (which are going up everywhere, including the grocery store) are very competitive. And you don't have to dress fancy to go there! Go in comfort, enjoy a drink (main... More

In town on business, tried Luke's and the meal was nice. The NY strip was cooked right and very good, sides were very good as well. Not much of a wine list though, and a bit on the pricey side for the selections. Overall, a good meal and service, but the cost was a bit more than I would expect... More

New owners in the last couple of years. Friendly staff and a good menu selection with a wide variety of menu items. Prices moderate to high. quality of food very good. The prepared salad for the table is great with olives, onions carrots and croutons added. Dressing is Italian and very good.

A little pricey, but the food was excellent. We thought we were underdressed when we saw the white tablecloths, but a lot of people came in jeans.

Luke's is a premiere steakhouse in an unassuming location. My family took me here for Father's Day, and we enjoyed it so much, it has become our "go to" place to entertain out of town visitors for convenience on the West Side of town (just a block off I-70 on Kipling). The cuts of beef are simply superb, and cooked... More
