My whole family loves it here. I have had romantic dinners with my husband here and lunch with the kids. All were great. The food is delicious. Weekday lunch specials are very reasonable. My kids love their children's menu here which are a great value and are something different than the typical kids menu. Great place that we visit often.

My daughter and I love The Happy Sumo. The food is fresh and delicious. Our favorite roll is the Surf & Turf along with a couple of Unagi Nigiri Sushi on the side. YUM! I also took sushi from The Happy Sumo to book club, it was a hit. One issue I we have are the flowers at the front... More

We LOVE Happy Sumo! This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. We live nearby, so have been there several times... some date nights, some family dinners (two kiddos under 7) and some larger dinners with friends. It's great for them all. They do not take reservations, so it's a bit harder with large groups unless you go mid... More

Met an old business associate for lunch. About 25 minutes outside of downtown Denver. Large menu for sushi but also had selections of "cooked" food... Split appetizers, around 4 and it was more than enough for two people. Not too thrilled with the lettuce wraps, but loved the edamame and potstickers. Didn't drink alcohol but they had a full bar... We had tried to go here on previously but it gets crowded on weekends. Walked right in a Sunday night though. They have a huge range of creative sushi rolls, service was prompt and pleasant. Everything we tried was tasty, the place is nicely decorated and a welcome dab of hipness in suburban north Denver.

Made reservations for our family on a busy Saturday night for a special occasion. Had never been before & read mixed reviews. Sumo sampler was delightful. Good wine, cocktails and saki. The special rolls and signature rolls were unique and oh so good! The food, service, and ambiance exceeded my high expectations. We left full and happy!

It was a really great experience. Me and my husband enjoyed the food very much. However, the service was acceptable but it could be better comparing with the price we paid. Will be back for sure but this is not the restaurant for every day dining. It is a little pricy but worth for special occasion.

Service, food and drinks vary...not consistent .Drinks and dishes are never the same, guess it depends on who is working. We usually go on VIP nights to save money.

The worst sushi we've ever had anywhere. The service was horrible. They couldn't even provide hot tea. It was expensive. The fish was old and smelly.

As soon as I walked in the door, I saw two waitresses just speaking to each other not attending to me at all for at least 3 minutes. They didn't even say hello. When I got seated by Ashley, she was nice at first, but then I had to ask her to refill my water. Then another time when I... More
