Description: Ted and Cyndi Dorr have been pizza fanatics for as long as they can...
Ted and Cyndi Dorr have been pizza fanatics for as long as they can remember. Cyndi started off her pizza career when she was just a teenager, using her amazing work ethic and "get-it-done" attitude. Ted's pizza career started off as a pizza delivery driver, and he soon realized he not only loved making pizzas, but he was really good at it. Ted competed regionally in the World's Fastest Pizza Maker competition for 15 years straight, and always placed in the top 3. Ted & Cyndi's paths crossed in 1993 when they both worked for a major pizza chain in Colorado, and it was pizza love at first sight. They were married in 1996, and as Ted explains it, "Pizza is in our DNA." Ten years later, they are still working for the same major chain and they still loved pizza, so they set off to make a better pizza and a better pizza company. In 2006, Double D's Sourdough Pizza was born. Today, Double D's Sourdough Pizza is committed to serving wholesome, real quality that you can be proud of sharing with your family and friends. Our sourdough crust is carefully leavened to ensure a delectably flavorful texture. Our passion for quality and flavor can be best explained by our unique 'blind taste testing' approach. Unlike other restaurants that cut costs with lower quality ingredients, Double D's chooses ingredients because of its quality and flavor. How do we do this? Compare & judge our products on these merits & then have our vendors share their prices with us. Then we negotiate cost and price our menu accordingly. This unique approach has solidified Double D's reputation of serving the best gourmet pizza in the area. Quality and price go hand in hand, there is no way around it. You can't make great pizza from bad ingredients. It's simply our business philosophy. Ted & Cyndi Dorr, Founders & Head Pizza Fanatics Colorado Local Independent Business Since 2006

You should try

We visited this restaurant twice. On the positive side: 1. Pizzas are very good. One of the best pizzas I tried. 2. Service is good too: friendly, attentive, prompt. 3. Nice, cozy, stylish atmosphere. I would say with European hint. 4. Good selection of beers and option for little samples... read more

We were in the area for a swim meet, and pizza is one of my kids' favorite post-swim meals. The pizzas were amazing, and service was great too. I've never had a Hawaiian pizza like this one -- must try! This is not fast food pizza, so don't expect a super quick turnaround. But the meal is worth the wait.... More

We had our daughter's birthday dinner at this restaurant. We had some tough criteria. The place needed to serve pizza, accommodate a large party, have a bar and be in the North Denver area. This place met that criteria however it failed in almost every other category. First off the restaurant is one big room with horrible acoustics so why... More

Awesome sourdough pizza, great garlic balls, the olidunks were amazing and the service was outstanding. Not expensive for the amount of food you get. The dueling piano bar was great entertainment too!

1+ hour ticket times and waitress lied on several occasions. Waitress then tried to over charge us by double. Awful establishment and the food is extremely overrated. Do yourself a favor and never ever eat here

Got the Mediterranean pizza, at $25 it was pricey but absolutely delicious. Friday and Saturday night there is a free dueling pianos show, very entertaining, and no cover charge!

Great meal, loved the light pizza dough. We had pesto calzones an they were delicious. Dessert of cinna bombs was great. My husbands enjoyed the beer selection. Cassie was a vivacious, friendly server.

A busy Friday night, so service was lacking for a good reason. A few menu items forgotten and drinks weren't kept up with. But the food was really good, including the wings and pizza (great crust)! I would try this place again if I get close again.

Good food, good beer, good service! They have a full bar, pianos, and live music! They also have specials, like if you eat in on certain days there is a discount.
