We usually eat in San Isabel when we go to Bishop's Castle but it was closed on Tuesday. So we decided to drive on to Westcliffe for different scenery and eat a late lunch there. Friends told us about a good place to eat but it was closed on Tuesday! Drove down the street to the dead end and decided... More

We have dined here many times over the years. It is always open which is a plus for the small town of Westcliffe. Breakfast is good and burgers are good. Chicken fried steak is however a disappointment. Wonderful mountain view in the dining room makes up for anything else.

It is what it is, a reliable breakfast place. Food is average diner fare. My last minute choice for breakfast.

We introduced some out-of-state guests to Westcliffe on a Monday, in the off season, so the special food places were not open (our bad). But lunch turned out great after being directed (by a "local") to this little cafe tucked into the Cliff Lanes (bowling). The four of us chose four different selections ranging from smothered burrito to roast beef... More

The thing going for them is they are open every meal every day. The portions are hit or miss. Depending on who cooks your get alot of food for your money or you leave hungry. The quality is hit or miss.... avoid anything with avocado sauce on it. Best meal there is the breakfast.

We waited 10 minutes just to get menus. After we finally got our order in the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The waitress never came around to refill our drinks. We waited a long time to get the check and finally just went up to the cashier's. There was a long wait there due to them running... More

This is a "go to" place....you can count on a good portion, a good price and decent food. They are wonderful hosts. I adore the sweet potato fries.....

I have traveled the entire US in my work related ventures, the Bowling ally is as nice as in any city, and the restaurant is good too. Try their Mexican dishes but be prepared to eat too much or get a box and take the uneaten portion home for later. I could never eat an entire meal served here.

Westcliffe natives sent us this direction for lunch, and we were glad they did. Diner style food inside the local bowling alley. The clean, fresh look of the entire building made me rethink preconceptions of "bowling alley" right off the bat. No bowlers were active during our stop there, but we almost bowled a game on the inviting lanes ourselves.... More

. . . I waited 45 minutes this morning for a breakfast burrito and a cup of coffee. As with most Westcliffe restaurants, the quality of service varies wildly.
