In the bowling alley

We stopped here for a late lunch. Pick a booth, they have a nice view of the mountains. Service was very good, we were seated and served quickly. Waters refilled. Menu was typical American burger food. I had the special, a brisket sandwich, while my wife had a burger. The food was very... read more

Ranchers Roost is definitely nothing special but by no means avoid the place. The bowling alley is attached in the same building if you want to do that.

Ate breakfast twice at the Rancher's Roost. Both breakfasts were very good, and well-cooked. The potatoes that come with their breakfasts were cooked perfectly -- not hard as bricks as happens in many restaurants that purport to specialize in breakfasts. The wait staff were friendly and attentive -- some of the best I've experienced anywhere. The stellar part of the... More

We actually didn't eat here. We went to see the huge wall photo mural of the mountains by Michael Arterburn and left after 5 minutes without ever seeing a waitress. It is in the bowling alley which more of a nice rec center. There is one seating area closer to the alleys in more of a bowling alley grill motif.... More

Don't be put off by the location within a rec center. The restaurant has very good food. My sister enjoyed her strawberry salad and I had a great sandwich. The service was friendly but surprising slow.

Friendly staff, best burger I've ever eaten in my life, and strawberry/rhubarb pie is amazing. Beautiful view from the restaurant also. Loved this place- ate there several times while on vacation!

If you want a BIG, hearty, breakfast, this is the place. It's in the town bowling alley, but don't let that stop you. If the other items on the menu are as good as breakfast, you might have a rough time going some place else.

An excellent diner located in our bowling alley. Breakfast or lunch will suit any stomach. Excellent views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains from the dining room.

Interesting combo of bowling alley and eatery - but it works! The view out the windows is jaw dropping...the food is good cafe style food - I had the burrito and it was tasty and ample. The service was fast and friendly. One of the few places open on Monday... I say "go" and enjoy!

A fun place to have a good meal in a bowling alley. Specials are always good and prices are very reasonable. Service may be a little slow but the Views of mountains are beautiful while you wait. Breakfast is the best in town.
