Surprisingly delicious in a tiny town!

We (all 7 of us) pulled up in an RV and spilled out into Mike's Coffee Barn for a quick break. Even though there were 6 women, Mike handled the coffee orders with ease, friendliness and a smile. His "Barn" is very cute and we had a nice break. We will remember him & his wife!

Mike's, a longtime landmark for this traveler, has recently changed hands. I'm happy to say the coffee is just as good, and the new owners are serving yummy homemade baked goods and hearty, savory lunch plates. Skip the chains and make your way into town for excellent local flavor(s).

We took TripAdvisor's rating as a guide and were not disappointed. Good selection of coffee and tea, on the "main drag," US160.

I was on the same coach trip as Bobmags and agree with what he says below. It was lovely to stop here for a coffee break after usually going to annonymous McDonalds, Subways, etc in malls. The couple who run it were absolutely charming, welcoming and efficient and didn't seem at all panicked when we descended on them. There are... More

I was on a coach tour when we stopped at this small café. The tour guide had thought that it would be bigger than it was. Thirty one of us descended on this poor man and his wife. They were amazing and managed to serve everyone and still smile at the end of it. They went out of their way... More

Lovely small cafe, air conditioned. A porch if this is what you wish (or travel with a dog). Just a lovely quiet atmosphere with good food and drinks. Internet connection as well.

We were travelling east from Mesa Verde to the motorway (freeway to my US readers) and this was a most convenient stop - great coffee, good banana muffin, friendly welcome from Mike who was surprised to learn that we had found his little cafe via Trip Advisor The atmosphere was laidback and friendly with locals there and secondhand books for... I'm sure the coffee etc. is as good as the other reviewers say, but I'll never know as I'm in town on a Saturday and the place is only open Mon-Fri.
