Had dinner here while in town laying our grandma to rest. There were 9 of us all with varying tastes and needs. The waitresses were great. The food was good, the wine and dessert were good as well. Great find in Walsenburg.

Ambiance: Outside really ugly for a historic hotel. A flat nothing. Plastic flowers in the window. Dining room has been update -- a failure, they should have left it alone. Service: Our waitress just disappeared when it was time for us to pay. The other waitress and the owner went by us repeatedly ignoring the situation.. When our waitress finally... More

My friends and I had a lovely lunch here last summer. Beautiful decor and wonderful food. They also gave us a tour of the old hotel!

Nice to find an old hotel kept up and going strong. Friendly service, good food, and relaxing atmosphere.

Positives: french fries were handcut, daily veggie of green beans and carrots were fresh (not frozen) and well seasoned, complementary bread was great. Shrimp added onto the Alfredo was large and nicely garlicky. Negatives: portions were small, we felt for $70 (three main entrees and a child's meal with water to drink) we should be wowed, but weren't.

We were traveling and happened to be stopping in this town around lunch. We checked TA reviews and were not disappointed in our experience here! Great menu, seemed a bit pricey, but after our meal arrived, we realized it was worth it. Service was absolutely wonderful. If we're ever back through this cute little town, we'll definitely know where to... More

We stayed in Walsenburg on our way to Durango. We got into town late and had already eaten. In our travels on the way back we were going through Walsenburg about suppertime. Not much to choose from in Walsenburg and found out most of the restaurants close at 3 and 4. We saw the reviews on La Plaza and gave... More

Had a business lunch at La Plaza Inn. Very friendly & professional service/waiter. The cobb turkey salad with their "house" made Apple Vinaigrette Salad dressing was delicious. The portion also was very generous and good value for the price. The food was prepared in a timely manner, especially considering the many customers that were having lunch. Overall nice ambience and... More

Beautiful decor that set the tone for fine and elegant dining. Menu was extensive but not overwhelming. Food was tasty, hot and delicious. Portions were generous and the price was right. Wine selection was excellent. Service was outstanding, from the moment we entered to the time we left. Highly recommend this restaurant

Probably some of the best burgers we've ever had. Fries were homemade and excellent!! The John Deere dining room needs to be updated, it wasn't very inviting. but maybe they are working on it because the rest of the place was nice. Overall our lunch was excellent!!
