The food and service were good, but the best thing is the location. It is just steps away from the lift and the open space, where kids can just run around while you watch them.

The food was very good, but pricey[typical]. The inside looked tired and need a make over, but still comfortable. Not very busy, but both orders were not served correctly. One was wrong, but corrected, the other did not come with a side dish. Had to order afterwards. Not sure if it was the waiter or the kitchen. But in the... More

The place is looks very tired after the crowd during the day with ski boots uses the place. Very expensive for dinner given the place need to be shut down and cleaned. Food was Excellent but place was dirty after Après Skiing.

The location of the restaurant is very good, the ambience is excellent, the good is ordinary. I ordered lamb chops, it was very chewy and did not come with the mont jelly, what was offered as mint jelly was far from it. Overall a very ordinary food experience

Their red umbrellas and hummingbird feeders attract MANY hummingbirds to entertain you as you dine on the patio -- which is the ONLY place to dine, in my opinion. When you are up there in such gorgeous surroundings, why waste the view by dining indoors unless the weather is inclement. Seating inside is okay, but outside is awesome with all... More

We hosted a group dinner while in Vail at the Chophouse. Great location, walking distance from hotel. We sat outside and had some drinks with great views of the mountain. They gave us a private room in the back for our meal. Service was great and the good was excellent. They were accommodating for dietary issues and even had a... More

I enjoyed dinner at the Vail Chophouse on Sunday August 10, 2014. I was part of a large business dinner party. My experience was very good. I had the filet medium and it was prepared nicely. The char was tasty and the meat was tender and very good. The blue cheese bacon macaroni was excellent as were the mashed potatoes.... More

We had lunch here mainly because of their gluten free options and the food was good, not great. We came back for drinks several times over the week because they serve "milk stout" which is one of my favorites. As other posters note the service is not even par with anything else in Vail. We had to hunt our server... More

Our family stopped here for dinner on Sunday evening. It was a lovely, cool evening and being from Arizona,, we wanted to have dinner outdoors., After viewing the menus at several restaurants in Lionshead, including Tavern on the Square directly across from Chop House, we opted for Chop House because we had had the Brie appetizer last year. Incidentally, that... More

Wonderful place to relax outside slope side and also to people watch! Great place to meet friends or just dine as a couple. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We actually had occasion to dine there twice and enjoyed both evening meals! The menu is extensive so you are able to order something simple or more on the pricey... More
