We usually plan to have at least one "good meal" during our annual week in Vail, this year we chose the Chophouse because we had enjoyed our visit to the Beaver Creek Chophouse and because of its location in Lionshead, it is at the base of the Eagle Bahn gondola and close to convenient parking. We were not disappointed, we... More

My husband and I had dinner here during our recent stay. I used to work for Vail Resort (in Vail), so I am very familiar with their "quality" as well as working in other high end guest service positions....so I know a think or two about quality food. Seeing the prices for the steaks on here blew my mind...I've had... More

we were there with a large party of kids and adults. The service was pretty good, but our large party ate out at other places that had better service. Best I can tell the food sat under the warming lights too long as the steaks were a bit overcooked and the cradles were dry. Great location and the magician did... More

It is a great place to people watch with a view of the gondola for skiers. I would recommend the truffle fries with is listed as an appetizer and they are so delicious! They are plenty in my opinion to share with someone. Another great choice that my husband ordered was the Salmon BLT. It was unusual but very good.... More

We went with a family of four on a Friday night. Food was good without being great - perhaps a little cold as if it had been on the servery too long. It was expensive, but to be expected given prime location at base of the chairlift. They were receptive and kind to the kids. The magician was superb, I... More

At the base of Eagle Bahn lift, Lionshead. Can sit outside or inside. Friendly service, we all had the lobster salad special that day.

On holiday in Vail, and really thought this would be a nice restaurant to go to...what a disappointment, table given was in front in waiters dispensing water, food was far to large, and not so tasty...would not recommend

Lamb chops of great quality and lovely presentation. For the price, more complementary sides would have been good. Service great - reservations recommended - pricey, but worth it.

The Chophouse has excellent service with a great kids menu and an unbeatable location at the Gondola. The food is very good for lunch or dinner. Definitely make a reservation for dinner way in advance of your trip, however-they book up fast. We have had dinner here in the past, but were unable to get in for dinner at any... More
