Very cozy restaurant and suitable for couples or families. Food was exceptional and martini's were average. Nice view of creek and woods. No need to dress formally, it is Vail after all...anything goes. would recommend reservations, though we were fortunate due to non-peak time.
We expected a steak restaurant which cooked your steaks how you'd like them - this is not it! Their speciality is slow cooking steak for 24 hours which then comes out looking not very appealing, no texture, it was verging on cold when served and it didn't help that the waitress slapped a ladle of horseradish on the side. Everything...

We were party of 10, came in early at 5:55p.m. received by a hostess doing everything else other than her job. 10 -15 minutes after, she came to us and said "sorry, have to wait until 900p.m. if you want to eat here"... Seems to be we were lucky we went to another rest.
I can only assume that we ate here on a bad night based upon all of the great reviews or maybe all these people have no idea what good prime rib is. I had to massage my jaw for a day after the workout it received trying to chew the meat that we were served. All four in my party...

Dowstairs of a very nice "neo bavarian" house in the middle of Vail Village. The prime rib of beef, the restaurant specialty, is a great choice after a good day of skiing and getting ready for the next ! The whole menu is honest, the bass and the salmon are also well cooked and tasty. A classic !
Always serving the best in prime ribs and baked potato with all the trimmings. bargain priced for Vail. Good for large parties and families. Exttremely casual
My title says it all. Those who may be overly critical and prefer to pick on one thing are in distinct minority and don't really understand how restaurants are run. Lancelot's staff is professional, friendly, and top notch which ranges from people like Brandy in the front; to Kenny at the bar; the wait staff that includes but isn't limited...

Really enjoyed the food here - excellent rib-eye for my fiance and crab legs (although eye-wateringly expensive) for me. It was very busy when we arrived, but it took a very long time to get our order in, and the service was brusque and not really very friendly. Not sure I'd return, think there are other places in town which...

The restaurant's specialty is the Prime Rib and it was very good. We had some 20 year old boys with us and it's a good, filling meal for them as well. The prices were reasonable, for Vail.
