We've eaten here many times over the years and always look to come back for a "German fix". Love a good draft, wurst and wiener with sauerkraut and the trimmings just can't be beat. Simple but good food and service. Add a schnapps and pastry and you're good to go. Out on the front deck is good - I enjoyed... More

We eat a Alpenrose multiple times a year in both the winter and summer. For lunch I highly recommend the Monte Cristo with extra lingonberry sauce. For dinner I like the schnitzel but the way they prepare it at lunch (breaded and fried) with a jaeger sauce. The deserts are however really good when they have the cherry strudel. A... More

Nice place to sit outdoors on a sunny January day. Service was average. Ordered the Cobb salad. Thought I must have mistakenly ordered a side salad when it arrived as the size and minimal toppings of chicken, corn, tomato and avocado was surprising. Filled me up nonetheless. Average wine-by-the-glass selection.

Average food in general but the Weiner Schnitzel were good. Our waiter, Dragon, was very personable and made the dining experience more fun.

We staggered in here in our ski gear having not changed from the mountain and figured out it wasn't really the sort of place that people do that. Though the waiter took our scruffy appearance in their stride and provided excellent service. The food was good and I liked the decor. We would certainly have returned if we had been... More

The food is not something you might look for here except the cheese fondue as an appetizer. The service is worst than the food but for the area is not an expensive place to eat German or Austrian food

This is a casual, family restaurant that serves European food. Nothing exotic, or formal, just what you would find at an ordinary cafe in Austria. Some dishes were better than others. We enjoyed the Stiegl and weinerschnitzel. We had fun,but don't go with high expectations.

Save room for dessert here as the pastries are amazing, They change each day and are wonderful. From weinersnitchel to goulash, the food was delicious and the portions are large. Make your reservation ahead of time. The staff was friendly and warm.

Over priced as you would expect for Vail. Food is okay, but for the price is just acceptable. Our table 8 persons had pretty much very entree on menu, all were good. On exception was the "Baked Brie" appetizer, note it has the appearance of being deep fried and had a greasy taste, if you like cheese sticks go for... More

I recently had a nice dinner at Alpenrose. It was not my first visit to the place and I was hoping to get the same wonderful wild mushroom risotto I enjoyed several years ago. Unfortunately they took it off the menu. However the Jager Schnitzel with red cabbage was pretty good together with the glass of the Pinot Noir recommended... More
