Great food. Great atmosphere.

We visit this place every time we come to Vail! Delicious food! Desert is a must! On some nights there is a gentleman playing the accordion. Very fun!

Had a great seafood salad for lunch; staff was pretty inattentive-had to ask for bread to go with salad but maybe they weren't passing it out since it wasn't very good anyway. Not the best spot in the village.

a vail standard, been there for decades and quality and charm remains the same. Food is true to its origins and never fails. The beef tartar is prepared perfectly. I have been to this restaurant numerous times over the last 25 years and it is consistently a wonderful experience.

Food was awesome. Filet was one of the best! This wasn't one of your typical alpine restaurants - their shrimp curry dish was amazing. But the desserts topped the evening off. If you like desserts don't miss the best bakery in Vail

As most high end tourist places, Vail offers mostly high priced "slick" restaurants. We use them for selected guests but rarely ourselves. The Alpenrose is our regular restaurant. We were there at least 15 times last season. The food quality ranges from very good to excellent. It is consistant and good enough to repeat. I had the duck 5 times... More

Walking down bridge street, you will see this charming mountain chalet type house filled with window boxes full of flowers for those who like to dine al fresco. Step inside to the bakery case and choose from a wide variety of pastries, cakes, cookies and tarts. We chose chocolate covered eclair so, fudge/ganache brownie torte and cherry filled strudel, all... More

Charming, authentic, alpine restaurant with good seating and a nice atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. We enjoyed the sunshine under umbrellas, a knowledgeable, friendly waiter who steered us to the draft Pilsners (excellent! though I am usually an IPA drinker), and recommended the homemade bratwurst and kraut (fantastic, I almost ordered a second serving). Our friends had the salmon salad... More

Server John-Morgan - what a great find for this place. We went there in the last afternoon for drinks. He suggested a local brew that turned out to be my favorite of the trip. Upon talking to him, we discussed our possible dinner plans, looking for some great fondue. He said that theirs was the best, tastier than all the... More

Staying in Vail Village, we found a quaint restaurant with menu items that were appealing. We sat on the patio overlooking the village since the weather was mild. Our server, Dragon, was very personable and engaging in conversation. I had a chicken schnitzel with spatzal and fresh veggies and my husband had the Wiener schnitzel. We saved room for homemade...
