This place is awesome! Dillon was our server and he is the best. We ate here a couple of months ago and he remembered us...even remembered what we ordered! We love to eat on the patio. Great views of the town and the slopes. Good place to people watch if you are into that kinda thing. The food is always... More

We were in transit and decided to stop at Vail Village for lunch at the Alpenrose. I had the seared salmon with salad and fruit. It was the right amount and was very good. My brother had a German dish which was similar to macaroni and cheese with a bratwurst. He really liked it. They also serve very good bread,... More

Alpenrose is an excellent option for good German food after a day on the mountain. I had the Wienerschnitzel with spaetzel and it was a large portion that tasted like home cooking. Really loved it. The atmosphere is traditional German, with some good German beers available on tap, large glasses of beer, and a trio of musicians who play traditional... More

We stopped here for lunch whilst on holiday in Vail with our friends. We had a table out the front, nice views. We all had the goulash soup and it was the best we've ever had. Service was also good. Very nice lunch.

Have been going to this restaurant for many years but had not been back in awhile. This was my husband's birthday and I was very disappointed in the food and service. Food was average - had always been great in the past. Service was very average. Waiter did not care about us or our experience. We brought friends to enjoy... More

We enjoyed some late night fare on our first night in Vail. The service and food were good. We enjoyed the atmosphere with a band playing in the background. A fun place for a group.

Have a craving for German/Austrian/Bavarian food and don't want to fly across the pond to satisfy said craving? Head to Alpenrose. I have been standing in front of the dessert case since I was 3 years old, and still come here for a coffee and a piece of berry cheesecake (though every dessert, and the food, and the beer, are... Hard to beat Alpenrose as a spot to meet friends on a sunny afternoon. The outside patio is great for watching people and drinking good beer and wine. On most occasions we start on the patio and end up staying for dinner. The bratwurst and weiner schnitzel are the best in Vail. The staff is especially friendly. Several nights a... More

We enjoyed this German restaurant away from the main drag in Vail while Oktoberfest was on. It is the most authentic and delicious German food ever. Great service, too. The appetizer plate with a variety of meats - and hot mustard, was lovely, as was the bread - well, everything. The patio was great!

This is the one restaurant we eat at each year when we visit Vail. The food and service are excellent. Always feels like a special occasion when we go. I use to live in Germany and the food at the Alpenrose reminds me of the great food we use to get in Germany. Love the pastries as well. Would recommend... More
