Hearty Food

La Tour blends graciousness, good food and competent service which makes for a superior dining experience. The maitre'd, Tony McNally, immediately made us feel welcome, as if we had been invited to his home. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a sophisticated, subdued clientele. The food is generally good in this place, but it is extremely overpriced. For example, a bowl of soup for $15-16 or pan fried chicken for $34. You can find better food for lower prices.

We have eaten at a few of the other restaurants at Vail, and this place is by far the best. The food was delicious, well cooked and very tasty. We got a side of brussel sprouts and they mixed in some vegetables too which was delicious - probably the best side i have ever had! Nick, our waiter was very... More

Lovely little restaurant, great food, great wine, great service. A bit pricey, but worth it! Recommend you share an appetizer and enjoy only a glass or two of wine to keep the tab under $150.

I am always pleased by my experience at La Tour. I've eaten here 4 times in the last 3 years, winter and summer. The service is incomparable, attendant but seemingly invisible. The range of dishes is inventive; often I've had the Wild Burgundy Escargots or Hamachi Sashimi Poke, but this time I really enjoyed an appetizer of the Shaved Smoked... More

I rarely post on- line reviews unless we have had a bad experience, but our dinner at La Tour last evening was so great that I feel compelled to broadcast it. The service was friendly and attentive from the moment we stepped in the front door. The sommelier helped us choose an absolutely perfect wine and the food was both... More

We visited this restaurant on a non-skiing day with the kids. The food was lovely (not their full dinner menu which we love) and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Always enjoyable.

My husband and I have had dinner here every year for many years now and love the place. Great atmosphere, fantastic wine list. Had the buffalo this time and it was great! The little hot chocolates at the end of the meal are fun and tasty.

We tried alot of restaurants in Vail. This was my favorite. Good food, not trying to be anything else. Good wine. Felt feeling full and very happy.

The food was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the black truffle cod and I had the lobster bisque....mmm! Oh, and the creme brulee was some of the best we have had. We will be back.
