I drove to Vail to visit my sister-in-law after having surgery. We walked around and the menu intrigued us. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess. When the waiter came over, I asked where the bathroom was, he told me very fast and in a loud voice. I asked him to repeat to which he acted put out. Now the... More

Having eaten at La Tour numerous times, I can attest to the reliability of their service and food. I have visited almost every restaurant in Vail, and I always want to go back to two - La Tour and Sweet Basil. La Tour's cocktails are professionally made and very cold, the butter is served with crunchy, red sea salt crystals... More

The food and the service were very good. We were there off season, mid=September, and didn't need a reservation but I'm sure that won't be the case in season. The pork belly appetizer was great and the Forbidden Rice risotto unique.

This is a good restaurant and had some creative dishes but I felt they weren't executed to the finest discriminatory tastes. For the costs, the dishes weren't contrasted with exquisite finishes. For instance, my dish had truffle oil but there was no contrasting sharp zing to make it stand it out. Why waste the money on the truffle if you... More

Started the evening off with a Martini, Prince Edward Isle Mussels & the Truffled French Onion Soup - All very delicious!! For the main entrée I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Colorado Lamb Rack Chop (to be cooked medium) And I asked for a glass on Pinot Noir to come out with my meal. Instead of her bringing me the wine... what a wonderful experience we had. My husband and I had a wonderful dinner there last month. I started with the Super Food Kale salad and it was to die for and my hubby had the lobster bisque which had HUGE chunks of lobster and he loved it. For our entrees my husband took our waiter's suggestion of the chicken... More

We had a very delicious brunch in this lovely restaurant. My husband said it was the best omelet he ever had! Everyone in our group loved their food -- pancakes, eggs benedict, steak and eggs. My lemon poppy seed pancakes were yummy! And be sure to try the Madeleines -- they melt in your mouth! The service was terrific --... More

Had dinner with the whole family during our Vail weekend trip. The duck breast was excellent and the salmon was above average. Kids ordered spaghetti which were just okay, seems out of character. Earned a return trip, recommended...

Absolute must-do for Sunday Brunch. Try the Bananas Foster French Toast. YUUUUUUUMMMMM! Toss the diet out the window on that one and just enjoy. Refined service in refined atmosphere. Second year in a row that we have gone for brunch and NO disappointments either time except for the Belinis. The peach "foam" globs floated on top of the sparkling wine... More

My wife and I ate at la tour twice in a weekend. On the first visit we celebrated our anniversary with a very romantic, quiet, exquisite meal. We had a great table that was quiet and comfortable. The compressed watermelon salad was out of this world! So good we ordered it again on trip 2. We also had the cheese... More
