We love Ludwig's for breakfast. The buffet is amazing, the service outstanding and the atmosphere very serene. We'll be back to the Sonnenalp many more times!

We selected this restaurant out of the guide in our hotel room. We were expecting a fairly nice place, but were amazed at the beautiful setting. Unlike so many restaurants, it was romantic, quiet, and the tables afforded privacy. The food and service were impeccable.

Fruit, Cereals, egg dishes, french toast, made to order omelets and coffee in a beautiful, large, signature china mug make this one of the best breakfast buffets ever. Add a charming staff in Bavarian costumes and the most wonderful hostess, Corky who welcomes you by name each morning!!

While staying at the Sonnenalp we indulged in the breakfast buffet at Ludwig's every morning. The food was great, service impeccable and the sunroom was the perfect way to start our day in Vail.

We had a wonderful breakfast on the patio, outside the sunroom. We could look down on Gore Creek and could hear the water. A very nice setting. You can have the buffet or can order breakfast off the menu. Breakfast was delicious. The wait staff was very friendly.

We had a voucher through Travelzoo so the cost wasn't what the menus said for us. That being said, the prices were still quite high. You expect this in Vail. You get to spend every dollar you expect here. The service was friendly but a bit slow too.

I love Ludwig's but then again, I love everything about the Sonnenalp. We ate dinner here over spring break with a Travel Zoo certificate and we had a fabulous meal. The service was excellent (very hard to find this in Vail) and the food was top-notch quality. Of course, the alpine Austrian ambience of Ludwig's and all of Sonnenalp can't... More

Old school feel to the room was charming, All the food great. very good selection of breakfast favorites. Just make sure you don't go late or the section gets significantly smaller at the end of service.

I ordered John Dory, a fish, and it was very fishy tasting and I have had it before and it never tasted so bad. I could not finish my meal. It was, however, not the waiters fault. Stefan was great!! The dessert was also very good.
