The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere is quite, warm and comfortable. There was a unusual smell to the dining room though. Not unappetizing but not a food smell either.

We actually ended up at The Lord Gore because we were staying at the Lodge and had a cranky baby on our hands and were all just too pooped to go out. What a fantastic decision! From the moment we arrived everyone from the hostess Bree who sat us to the waiter Chris who took care of us was incredibly... More

We ordered the elk and the bison and both dishes were excellent (the elk slightly better than the bison). Presentation, flavor, and quality of all ingredients was very good. Service was attentive and solid and they had a nice wine list. Atmosphere was nice as well. All in all a great restaurant. More restaurants in the area should have game... More

With the demise of the famous Tyrolean restaurant several years ago, the Lord Gore has become the 'go to' place for those seeking game-inspired cuisine. Some may be put off by the the condo setting of the Manor Vail Lodge, but once you're inside everything feels special. While the menu has a nice variety capable of satisfying a variety of... More

Lord Gore, located about five minutes east of Vail village, is the perfect restaurant for anyone looking for an exceptional meal in Vail. Our waiter Chris was the perfect mix of professionalism and character. The chef and owner visited every table while we were there. The restaurant is very upscale with a true western menu featuring elk, bison, etc. The... More

From the moment we were greeted and shown to our fabulous table, next to the two-story windows, looking at the mountains, our experience was outstanding! Chis was our waiter and he was excellent. He knew the right choices and recommendations. He also joined in our table conversations, when timing was right. The chef visited our table. We loved it. He... More

I am hesitant to write this review since it may make it more difficult for me to get a reservation in the future. Service - personable, attentive, prompt, good pacing of the courses Atmosphere - like an intimate private club. Large windows, wood walls, good energy without an overwhelming din. Even comfortable chairs. Wine list - a bit eclectic but... More
