Decent

Came here on our first night and was pleasantly surprised that it was certainly a cut above average. As most Vail restaurants, the cost is well above what you would expect. $100 for a couple of appetizers, soup, and beer/wine. But, it was tasty and service was friendly and efficient.

This very nice restaurant had many types of fish from both coasts on the menu. Shellfish and gastropods were also well represented. My iceberg wedge salad was excellent and the calamari were fine. I had a bowel of mixed shellfish, clams and mussels and others had grilled ruby trout. All was nicely prepared and tasty. Nice selection of wines and good... More

We had a drink at the bar before being seated. The bar tender was obviously experienced and knowledgeable. The signature cocktails that we tried were excellent. We then had a beautiful seat along the edge of the dining room. The windows were wide open and the fresh Rocky Mountain air was delightful. The waiter was very conversant about the menu.... More

We live in CA so we are accustomed the freshest seafood which is hard to find in CO. I am not talking about the local trout which is excellent. Montauk is where we go for shellfish and seafood other than trout. Their apre-ski appetizers are great when they offer them. The wine selection is also very good. Montauk is our... More

Excellent seafood restaurant that's been a staple of Vail for years. Not cheap but worth it. The entrées are the highlight of the menu, don't get distracted by the starters. Friendly & helpful staff with owner on site.

This is the real thing. As extensive an array of seafood as I have seen in years. My wife had salad and I had 1/2 dozen oysters as first course. Both delicious. Then I had steamed lobster tail with choice of two sides. She had seared Ahi. Again, delicious. Then we shared the "sand pie" dessert, great and easily enough... More

We took 8+ people to Montauk, three different times in July. They do take reservations and our table was ready each time we arrived. The service was consistently excellent, as were the specialty cocktails. Fish is delivered several times a week, so the menu varies from day to day. Since fish is truly their specialty, they offer different methods of... More

A must for fish lovers. We both had the Callimari to start. Very good (but my favorite Callimari every is served at The Bluestone Restaurant in Timonium, Maryland). Then we had the broad bill swordfish, cooked with the herb and butter preparation, absolutely delicious. The Australian barramundi was a wonderful delight to find this delicate fish in Colorado! Cooked and... More

Wonderful seafood dinner in Lionshead Village. Service was great as well. We had the lobster mac n cheese, the grilled scallops, miso swordfish and miso sea bass. Everything was delicious and would 100% recommend it!

Excellent dinner with seating outside in Lionshead. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is excellent. If you time it right, the bar next door has music for entertainment.
