The bar is dirty and the staff were not only unpleasant and never smiled, but were rude. Someone should give them a crash course in good service. It's a shame that I always tip well because in hindsight, I regret treating them nicely. Dirty, unpolished glasses. It would be a cool place to go meet locals if it didn't smell... More

As a Vail regular my choice for Apres after a hard day's skiing at Vail in "The George". This is Vail's number one secret for Apres. ."The George" is located at the bottom of Bridge Street in Vail Village. With your ski boots on, climb down the steep steps deep in the tomb of the Mountain House and get some... More

Walked past this place for years. Its located next to the Covered Bridge. Decided to check it out and to our surprise has great decor, friendly people, and values you won't find anywhere. There "Happy Hour" is from 6pm to 10pm with $4.50 you call it on any drink and any brand. Also the highest priced entree during these hours... More

The crab deal is for real, and the duck I had was out of this world. The atmosphere is distinctly local, but it's a lot of fun and worth checking out.

This is where the locals go. Happy Hour is from 6 to 10 and entrees are $20 or less and drinks are $4.50. I got more than a pound of king crab legs and they were great!

My wife and I spent five days in vail. We hit all the hot spots and were looking for something different. We asked a couple locals and were directed to George. It is below ground, dark, wood bar. Make no mistake, it is a bar first. Not a kid place. Bartender was friendly. JW Black was 4.50. Alaskan crab was... More

I love duck. I also appreciate a bargain. Here you get both. You could have knocked me over with a feather when the duck rivaled with the best I had in paris! This is a funky locale and an underground bar. Not fancy. Not impressive. But OMG, the duck is to die for.

Cold beer and tasty egg roll! We stopped in for cold one before heading to our condo. Friendly bartender and great service!

Great place for cheap drinks and food. This is a bar, would not take my kids there. Dark, typical bar. As adults it was great. Heard it is where locals hang out. Went in for a quick drink, ended up staying talking to locals, and enjoying cheap drinks. Suggest going there for late night drinks. Bartender was great.

We returned twice to the George because we liked it so much. During Happy Hour, which lasts from 6-10pm, the drink and food prices are discounted and very reasonable. Despite the pub atmosphere and economical prices, the food was very high quality. Get the Plum Duck. It was fabulous. Also, if you want to watch a sporting event (The World... More
