Like others, we found this place through TripAdvisor. And others were right on. For dinner, we had the surf and turf and filet ... both were priced around 20 bucks. The crab legs with the surf and turf were a little rubbery, but we're not at the ocean, and they still tasted fine. The filet was extraordinary. Very good piece... More

We found the restaurant searching TripAdvisor. The dinner portions were large and tasty. We went during off-season so it was not too crowded and they were running specials on dinners. I ordered the king crab legs and the people I were with ordered filets. Everything was tasty and our server was pleasant. Will definitely go back this winter!

We went with our family on a Sunday night at the beginning of the mud season and were able to get seated right away. While some reviews said this wasn't a family place, we went around 6:00 and it was basically only families in the place at that time. The drinks were completely affordable, the food was good and priced... More

The bar is dirty and the staff were not only unpleasant and never smiled, but were rude. Someone should give them a crash course in good service. It's a shame that I always tip well because in hindsight, I regret treating them nicely. Dirty, unpolished glasses. It would be a cool place to go meet locals if it didn't smell... More

As a Vail regular my choice for Apres after a hard day's skiing at Vail in "The George". This is Vail's number one secret for Apres. ."The George" is located at the bottom of Bridge Street in Vail Village. With your ski boots on, climb down the steep steps deep in the tomb of the Mountain House and get some... More

Walked past this place for years. Its located next to the Covered Bridge. Decided to check it out and to our surprise has great decor, friendly people, and values you won't find anywhere. There "Happy Hour" is from 6pm to 10pm with $4.50 you call it on any drink and any brand. Also the highest priced entree during these hours... More

The crab deal is for real, and the duck I had was out of this world. The atmosphere is distinctly local, but it's a lot of fun and worth checking out.

This is where the locals go. Happy Hour is from 6 to 10 and entrees are $20 or less and drinks are $4.50. I got more than a pound of king crab legs and they were great!

My wife and I spent five days in vail. We hit all the hot spots and were looking for something different. We asked a couple locals and were directed to George. It is below ground, dark, wood bar. Make no mistake, it is a bar first. Not a kid place. Bartender was friendly. JW Black was 4.50. Alaskan crab was... More

I love duck. I also appreciate a bargain. Here you get both. You could have knocked me over with a feather when the duck rivaled with the best I had in paris! This is a funky locale and an underground bar. Not fancy. Not impressive. But OMG, the duck is to die for.
