Up the Creek is a lovely stop for drinks or food in Vail Village. Right beside the beautiful Gore Creek, my favorite is sipping a Blood Orange Bellinitini and the spinach salad with salmon. The owners and staff are very attentive and friendly. Every visit to Vail must begin with settling in at Up the Creek.

Had a fantastic lunch on the river at up the creek. Absolutely incredible views and so relaxing. Roasted turkey and Brie sandwich and fish tacos were out of this world! Food is incredible. Favorite restaurant in Vail. DO NOT MISS

I can't speak for the quality of food--we didn't get that far; however, I was not pleased with the initial treatment. There were two of us. We asked for seating on the patio (there were tables available with four chairs at each). We were told that the only table available on the patio for two guests was in the sun... More

Incredible location, if you go request creek side seating. The creek was flowing and it was just a very calming place to be. We ordered sandwiches for lunch, one BLT and one Reuben. The BLT was delicious and so were the truffle fries. Service.... not so good. They are very slow to just bring drinks and virtually disappear after your... More

Every time we are in Vail we make a point of eating at Up the Creek. The service is excellent, food divine and the setting and views can't be beat. This past trip at the end of May all entrees were 50% off, due to slow season - can't be beat!

Small but comfortable restaurant next to a flowing creek. Being off season here now we see many closed restaurants recommended going there which is a good sign. We had the trout which was a good size for lunch. Nice service too.

Great food and service at the cosy spot on the creek. Romantic for dinner also. Reservation a must on weekends.

The menu looked wonderful and the appetizers were indeed interesting and delicious--the calamari, mussels, and arugula salad. Our entrees, all seafood like trout with crab, scallops, and salmon, didn't live up to the first course. If we go back to Vail, we would give it another try, given the strong, positive reviews given by others.

We wandered in late afternoon and we're made to feel very welcome Even though it was very early we wanted to choose from the dinner menu. This didn't present a problem and we chose Lamb chops for my wife and a New York strip for myself. Our server Eric was excellent as was the food. Highly recommended!
