The most notable feature of this restaurant for lunch is the presence of Gore Creek with feet of the patio. A most enjoyable location. We noticed this place right on the mountain stream in Vail and wanted to have lunch - they gave us the choice of two different tables and we had an excellent view of the beautiful area and stream and could hear the stream - our soup and sandwiches were fabulous - ate every bite of the lobster blt and the... Wow! This is definitely a place you'll want to visit. The pork chop was the best I've ever had - and the chef even shared his recipe with me. It's a sleeper on the menu, but out of this world. The location is nestled along Gore Creek, with great outdoor seating and views. The cucumber martini was delicious - overall... More

Not many places open off season in Vail so we were a little apprehensive when the choice was so limited. But as soon as went into the restaurant we then had a great time. Located right next to a small stream which must be very good in summer to sit on the verandha, the food, beer and service were all... More

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a not-so-busy day during the down time “between seasons”, during the third week of May. We just had a light lunch consisting of chicken-tortilla soup with some bread on the side. It was very tasty, and served in an interesting way. Bowls with the chicken and other ingredients were brought out,... More

This is one of my top 2 restaurants in Vail.... The food is excellent... service is excellent... the setting along the creek is great... and the pricing is a bit more reasonable than Sweet Basil and the like... The parmesan truffle fries with the dipping sauce - yum yum.. the scallops... the short ribs.. all to die for!!

Was traveling solo for a few days of skiing and stopped in here. Sat at the bar. Friendly bar staff. Had a delicious trout and some vegetables. Nice and low key. Filled up quickly and all of the seats were taken. Nice view of the Gore Creek too. Good value for the money

Eating outdoors is always better than indoors, especially when the sun is shining in March! S, Up The Creek gets five stars on environment, 4 stars on service and ditto on the food. Fish tacos and arugula salad were just plain yummy.

Visited during Spring Break. Wait staff seemed short handed night we were there. Two had the beef short rib and cleaned their plates. Husband had the elk, and while it was good, he did not feel like it lived up to the hype. I enjoyed my trout. Overall not a bad experience but I'm having trouble understanding why this restaurant... We had our anniversary dinner last week. We eat here every time we are in Vail. Service is great, enjoy the wine list. We had the trout, lamb and short rib- every dish was great. Reasonable for Vail with great food.
