Perfect elk

This restaurant is in a beautiful location right in the heart of Vail Village. It is rather small in size, but we loved our meals. We had the elk, which was out-of-this-world delicious with a perfect peppercorn crust and the spare rib was as tender as a roast cooked all day. Our waitress was... read more

We had the good fortune to be in Vail during the off season, so every dining experience was perfect in terms of finding great dining times and the perfect seating. This was our experience at Up The Creek Bar and Grill. Our table was outside along the creek and it was so serene. Absolutely the best seat in the house.... More

This restaurant, located in Vail Village, was highly priced but didn't deliver. It does sit in a picturesque location, literally by the creek that runs through the Village. Walls of glass allow you to appreciate this. The food was average. The server looked and acted like he was painfully going through the motions. My martini was weak...that's kind. Based on... More

We began with a perfectly shaken martinis in chilled glasses. Sitting at the bar with AJ was so pleasant and relaxing and we felt most welcome. As others have said, the elk loin is superb and the accompaniments unique. The flavors blended perfectly. After dining in a number of finer restaurants in Vail, I would vote that U the C... More

This was a fabulous meal from start to finish. The service was attentive without being annoying. Try the Truffle Frittes and the Calamari with chorizo appetizers. They were delicious. Everyone in our group loved their entrees. We all sampled and shared and had a hard time deciding which sumptuous dish was best, the lamb chops, the elk loin, the New... More

Best meal we had all week in Vail. The elk loin was an amazing dish as well as the scallops. Highly recommend.

Would definitely be on my list for another repeat. Had a soup for lunch that was so good, I went back for dinner and started off with another soup. Everyone in our party loved the food and the friendly service

After travelling all day on New Years Day, we were greeted into this wonderful restaurant. Our waiter was attentive and recommended some tasty dishes. There were 6 of us so we shared a mixed green salad with pecans, cherries & blue cheese, carpaccio, chicken tortilla soup, and arugula salad. We all tasted each others dinner of Rack of Lamb, Red trout,... More

This is a lovely and quiet restaurant tucked away along the Gore Creek in Vail. The specialty cocktails were delicious, as was the food. The tables are well spaced so the noise level is low and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. We had great service and all went home very happy.

The location of this restaurant is very scenic and beautiful. We made our reservation and were excited when we walked in. Unfortunately, before we got the chance to taste the great food, we had to experience a host who seemed bothered to seat us, a server who was bothered we were sitting at the table before it was set, (although...
