Great food and service

We have been dining in Vail as tourists for almost a week now and have yet to have a complaint anywhere. Russell's was no different. Dining in Vail is going to come at a hefty price and you should be prepared to pay when having steak and seafood in the village. We started with the tuna sashimi... read more

A little noisy and crazy on a Friday night, next time we will request a quieter table. Food was good, the crab legs will be on my mind until I visit again next year. The ribs are also to die for. Great little spot right on Bridge street.

You really expect a steak house to deliver a steak cooked to order, so I was bummed to see my rib-eye (though in a tasty teriyaki sauce), an over done "medium" when the waiter assured that my "medium rare" order would be exactly right. The starter of tomato and mozzarella was tasty in a well seasoned balsamic but my husband's... More

The staff was curt - from the hostess to the waitress. If their overwhelmed by the volume of guests that cycle through this popular stop than they need additional training to overcome the anxiety they exude. As much as I wanted this recommendation to be excellent; I couldn't find it. The steaks were average and none of ours came out... More

Russell's is a rustic steakhouse on Bridge Street. We were there on a Saturday night and it was busy. It was so noisy inside, it made conversation difficult. The service was great, though and the food was good, but arrived cold. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops, which were delicious. From there we moved on to King Crab and... More

But food is still good. Have been to Russell's twice this year. I go for the lamb chops they serve on Saturday. The first time they were out of lamb chops by 6:30. The second time my husband's steak was not cooked properly. Management made excuses for the kitchen but were flippant about it. Overall, disappointed

Amazing service. And the king crab. And the king crab. wow! Great wine too! Treated like royalty! Great for families, too!

Went to Russell's on the recommendation from a friend. The atmosphere is cool. We were seated at a small table by the window in front, great for people watching. I ordered the crab legs. At $80, I was treating myself on our last night of vacay. Those crab legs were, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. So delicious!... More

I always find this restaurant hard to review. It is not there with the high end steakhouses, but it is actually ok. I guess that is a nice balance. This trip we had the fillet and the steak diane. They were excellent. The sides were a little lame. The starters were a little larger than we expected, but actually quite... More

Menu is unique and waitstaff know it well. This is a place we never miss when in Vail. The last time I had the Braised Lamb Ribs and they were excellent. Crab cakes are also very good. Wine selection is good, desserts are excellent. Manager was friendly and interacted with customers freely, but did not intrude. A sign of a... More
