Decent sandwich, wish we'd tried the ice cream!

We had two hot sandwiches after a hike, wrapped in brown paper. The corned beef and pastrami in both was really good--not the BEST EVER, but tasty. Good to know about this place in the village. Next time we'd probably take our wrapped sandwiches to a bench or picnic table outside.

I used to LOVE Joe's, however the new "staff" is incredibly rude this summer season. Brenda that used to work there was so sweet but I haven't seen her in a while and the awful loud music they play is annoying (no one sitting in at tables, that place is usually packed). Also, the new girl working at the cash... More

Had an amazing breakfast burrito from here. Was a quick walk from our hotel and we highly recommend it.

Very yummy sandwiches placed nicely in the Vail Village. Big portions! I absolutely love the turkey mushroom sandwich! Ice cream for the kids too!

How utterly refreshing to have a local down home place in the center of Vail still. One of the remaining old time places that has been there as long as I can remember. Great sandwiches, great ice cream, great soups. No fuss, no fancy - just a quick easy and delicious meal in Vail - sit at a table, watch... More

Ridiculous prices. Awful service. Do not buy muffins for about $4.00 each, not tasty at all. My friend paid $3.25 for a coffee one day, the next day a 1.00. When questioned about the discrepancy, was told the waiter thought she was a local on the lower price day ?????? Overpriced, indifferent attitude of workers, bad muffins.

Stopped by for the iced cream and asked what the best flavor was... Was given a sample of blueberry cheesecake. Crazy good! Will be back just to try that again!

Stopped in for some sandwiches (skipped the ice cream: the opposite of everyone else!) and they were quite good. The staff was abrasive though, and we felt uncomfortable in the space. Better to get your food and go, I think.

We tried the Blue Cheese Chocolate, Horseradish Chocolate Chip, and a few sorbets and enjoyed them all.

Joe's is a bit hard to find if you don't know it. It's in Vail's main Village, up a side street and down a flight of stairs. But people in the know find it -- apparently for the ice cream! Well, time to get the word out about Joe's sandwiches. They are amazing. The suggested builds are conventional with a... More
