Apres Ski easy and enjoyable

Pepi;s a long standing Vail restaurant has a quaint outside patio which faces the mountain, but back a bit from the mountain itself. Each night after 4 we enjoyed happy hour prices, acoustic guitar singers, friendly wait staff and great people watching.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch of goulash with veal and buffalo bratwurst. Sitting in the enclosed patio on a sunny day, we ate while watching people walking about. Service was efficient and we would return again.

Pepi's was awesome. It is unapologetically old school, which is a fun vibe. Great German beer paired with awesome German food. I had the jaeger schnitzel which was excellent. I strongly recommend the pure German dishes, which were the table's favorites. Food comes out on trolleys like the 1960's when this place was founded. It will totally remind you of... More

Having owned in Vail for 25 years, embarrassed to say first time to eat at Pepi's. Given all the faux Bavarian in Vail, Pepi's is a mix of old school Austrian and old style American ski lodge. Looking forward to coming back for dinner. Fairly priced and a homey atmosphere.

Having slightly sprained my knee skiing the prior day, I chose to take a day off and have lunch on the deck at Pepi's on a relatively warm late March day, and it was a wise choice. (I found a statue of Albert Einstein napping on a park bench about 100 yards away, apparently after having a bigger lunch than... More

We stopped at Pepi's terrace after a day of skiing and enjoyed their great apple strudel and coffee. The terrace is sunny and is a great place to relax for a while in the middle of Vail village. Alcoholic drinks are served as well.

At 12:30, I was able to get a table for one almost immediately--seating was ample in the covered pavilion, but outdoor tables were full and other tables started filling up soon after. The server was attentive, and lunch (lamb & pita salad) was very nicely put together. The only drawback was that the coffee I ordered wasn't very hot--a touch... More

We visited in February 2014. The restaurant serves good hearty German fare. We had a fairly good experience until it came to the end of the meal. The bill was somewhat faintly printed and the lighting was dim, so it was hard to read. On close inspection, we discovered that they had included an 18% gratuity, which their menu stated... More

Had dinner at Pepi's. Our table had German food. It was very good. We sat I. The dining room but the bar was very lively with live music. The apple strudel was very good. Hostess was a little distracted but the wait staff was excellent. I would return.

We really enjoyed grabbing beers and apps out on the enclosed patio at Pepi's. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and loved the casual atmosphere. Like being in a European Beer Garden only it's winter and you can see the streets of Vail.
