My Son's suggestion was perfect.

We had reservations and arrived early. we headed for the bar and ordered 2 martinis up. I have had a lot of these guys ( probably more than I should-but I was on vacation) and these were among the best....cold glass and perfect. I ate several times in my visit to Vail to play lacrosse. I had buffalo carpaccio, the salmon ceviche, and the wild salmon entree. All 3 were world class. Highest recommendation.

We've been eating at Sweet Basil for almost thirty years. We think that its the best restaurant in Vail. The servers are efficient and knowledgeable. The menu always has interesting entrees. The location is excellent.

A good choice in Vail. Easy to get to and the dinner offerings are well done if somewhat predictable.

This meal was a treat from beginning to end. We splurged, but everything was EXCELLENT. Halibut and Kobe were perfectly cooked - panna cotta was a perfect ending.

The food was delicios , the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere is very romantic - next to the river! Make sure you ask for a table looking over the river!

Love, love, love Sweet Basil!! This trip we had an excellent dinner followed by a superb lunch a few days later. The four of us shared several dishes at lunch -- the tempura avocado sandwich, the shrimp roll, spring rolls and calamari & shrimp with veggies. All excellent dishes. The menu is so creative and the wine list is wonderful.... More

Lovely setting, delicious takes on familiar favorites. Brisket sandwich was incredible. As my husband said - "it tastes like a real chef" prepared everything; no pre-cooked ingredients or menu items. Kids menu had multiple options, and the chicken strips were fresh, crispy, and obviously not the garden variety jerky-esque chicken served elsewhere. Will definitely return.

Recently my daughter and I enjoyed lunch here and we could not have been more impressed. Her trout was excellent and so was the salmon salad I ordered. Bravo! We'll be back.
