Well worth the money!

Our son had made reservations here for his Mom's birthday, and it was a great choice! We had never eaten here before and it was impressive with their selection of apps, entrees, and wines. Amazing starters. Amazing entrees. Amazing deserts. Amazing wine. I know by rating this 5-stars, I'll reduce my chances of getting a Saturday night reservation before 9pm (lol), but the reviews are spot on...food is organic, healthy, beautifully seasoned. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I love the Caesar salad (without anchovies) as a starter. Don't neglect sides-their... More

We made reservations a few days in advance. It helps, since we saw others wait for half an hour for seating while we went straight to our table. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly, full of information about Vail and the Sweet Basil owners. We had wonderful entrees, a light lunch, and desert. food was terrific. We had window seats and... had lunch with my daughter yesterday. Attentive and knowledgable wait staff, good menu selection and well prepared. Wine list looked appealing, too. But there was no pizzazz - everything worked, but nothing really stood out. The crab and lobster bisque was good, the kale salad just okay. My daughter's kids meal, was well done.

Having tried to get a reservation with my wife to find out it was booked for the next week, I ended up here on a work night. The food was amazing. Steak was cooked to perfection, nicely displayed and amazing taste. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for. The place was packed make sure you get a reservation. Despite being... More

Without a doubt, one of Vail's best restaurants. The food was excellent as was the service. A glass of champagne each, one salad, one foie gras, one duck entre, one rack of lamb entre and a bottle of wine. $369 with gratuity. Limited number of wines under $100, ours was $120. The rack of lamb was $60 and was the... More

I was told by countless people that this was the top restaurant in Vail. Personally I preferred Larkspur as it had more interesting choices for a vegetarian. I had the kale salad at sweet basil which was delicious. My entree was a sweet potato tortellini which was just that- sweet. Even though I tend to like sweet foods, this dish... More
