We ate here after one of the concerts at the Ford Amphitheater. We were a bit early for our reservation, but we were seated promptly at a great table on the balcony overlooking the main drag through Vail Village. It was great for people watching...but, on to the meal. Charlie was our waiter and more than outstanding. We need a... More

Every trip to the Vail Valley includes a traditional stop at Sweet Basil. The food is always fresh, creative and well presented. The service is attentive. The view over the creek and trees is a true mountain experience. We've been there at least 20 times over the years and keep coming back.

The Smash is now my favorite of all drinks I've ever had. It is a non-alcoholic drink with fresh mint, fruit juices and some secrets. Ask for it!!! We enjoyed the fresh wild trout, over the top delicious !

I'm a self proclaimed foodie who likes to try new things. We came here after a recommendation by our concierge. My husband and I are so grateful they suggest this place. The service and good was AMAZING!! The beef cheek was so tender there was no need for a knife. We'll be back during ski season and will make sure... More

This is my favorite Vail restaurant, and one of my favorite all time places to eat. Their food is amazing. Soups are always superb. Caesar salad the best. Service is great. You must go!

This was a lunch with a friend and we both chose the BLT with a small salad instead of fries. The sandwich was unique but exceptionally good. The atmosphere was peaceful and very pleasant! I'll have to try this restaurant again for an evening meal. The wine cellar looked extensive. Thumbs up for this one!

A very nice lunch with friends for a special occasion. I also had that "lobster soup", which was different, but good. The "heirloom tomato salad" also different but good. Boys had BLT's which were huge & tasty. The food is always very good here and it is also very expensive but everyone knows that Vail is expensive! The patio overlooking... More

We have been going to Vail for the past 6 years for a week of skiing in February. We always plan on at least on meal at Sweet Basil. It is an excellent restaurant with great choices and superb service. There are very good choices of wine. It is very popular and we find that we have to reserve two... More

We went for lunch and sat outdoors. Our waitress gave good service to those around us, but not us. I ordered the soup (which I had to ask about since she told others but not us), which was a thin lobster soup. I was presented nicely, but the "garnish" was microscopic. The garnish was to be shrimp (not even one... More

Our doorman at the Four Seasons recommend it and it was good. We had great service and it was perfect weather. Everything was very fancy for a casual summer night! I would go back but some other spots were even better!
