Lunch or dinner, Sweet Basil is always on top of their game with tasty, creative offerings, attentive service and a pleasant ambiance. It is the "can't miss" restaurant in Vail. Be sure to make reservations as much in advance as possible as prime time tables are oftentimes reserved a month or more in advance.

Sweet Basil is consistently great. The lunch menu is interesting and delicious. The soups are always outstanding. Dinners are a dining treat with a good selection and beautifully presented dishes. The service is attentive. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance of your visit. This popular restaurant is usually booked solid.

When in Vail, Co., we make it a point to lunch at Sweet Basil which over looks Gore Creek. The menu is a bit limited but good. My wife had the Salmon which she said was one of the best she has had in a long time. I had the Cheesburger which was passable, but not great. Service was very... More

We were enchanted immediately upon entering this restaurant by the colors, textures and beautiful decor. We asked for a good table and we were provided with one overlooking the river in a quiet corner immediately. Our waiter was very helpful and our group of 5 enjoyed tasting each others entree and specialty drinks - I believe that the fish dishes... More

I had a great lunch at Sweet Basil! Everyone I spoke with told me this was a good place - and it was! Pricey but I don't mind that if the food is good. And it was. I will definitely go back on my next visit to Vail!

Drove up to Vail for a short day trip with my wife and walked around the village. Walked past a number of restaurants and checked out their menus and Sweet Basil was the most appealing to the two of us. The restaurant has been around for few decades according to the waiter, who was also very attentive. The Mezze and... More

The super friendly staff made us immediately comfortable. The food was perfect in every way - portion size, flavor, creativity and price. I had a seafood salad with a glass of chardonnay, sitting on terrace overlooking a charming street in Vail. We all had empty plates and lots of smiles!

Good meal, beautiful view. This was a nice place to unwind after a day of hiking. I selected the salmon and a glass of white wine, very good!
