Worth an advance reservation for couples or a group of friends. All in price with a bottle of wine around $150 to $200. We ordered the Colorado Rack of Lamb, which was much larger portioned (and priced) than your typical dish in most restaurants. It was well worth the nearly $70 price and easily enough of an entre for two.... More

We visited Sweet Basil a couple weeks ago on a suggestion from a friend & we were not disappointed. It was restaurant week in Vail so the place was hopping with a fun, lively vibe & all entrees were $20.14-- awesome! We had 2 celebrations going -- an anniversary & a birthday -- & they gave us customized menus that... More

There was nothing to dislike. The meal was simply delicious! Truffle fries, Colorado lamb meatball sub served on a classic grilled New England hot dog roll, fruit tart for dessert. FANTASTIC! The server was attentive and kind. Worth every moment!

There are such excellent restaurants in Vail-Beaver Creek. Seems like we rate everything excellent--but through the years we've weeded out the so-so. This is especially great(reservations a plus). Another place we always find busy, great food and wine--great selections! Its a well known landmark for excellent dining and has the reputation to remain there!

I don't want to quibble...this place is top-notch. Our food was creative (try the beets appetizer...I'm spoiled for any other beets forever), the presentation was perfect, the service attentive yet restrained, and the atmosphere sophisticated and refined yet also intimate and romantic. This has got to be the best of the best in Vail, yet I have one small hesitation... More

My wife and I had dinner at Sweet Basil out 1 st night in Vail. The food was outstanding! I had the lamb shank which was absolutely perfect with outstanding flavors. The ambience is very nice and fairly casual. We did have a long wait, as it is a vey popular restaurant in the Vail Village. We would definitely go... More

We dine here every time we are in the Vail Valley and have had terrific experiences over dozens of visits. The food is imaginative and locally fresh. The service is well paced and matches the expectations of the diners. If you enjoy superb food in a beautiful setting, try it out. Great for couples and friends.

This was one of three restaurants we were told was a "must" for our recent vacation to Vail. No complaints here. We had a wonderful table at the window and our meals and service were what we expected. I had the lamb t-bones while my husband enjoyed the double cut pork chop. While not my favorite dinner on this trip,... More

Restaurant Week is a great time to try out old and new restaurants in the Vail area. Very glad we came back. After a several year hiatus from dining here, we decided to come back. There's so many great restaurants in the area that deciding where to spend your $$ is important. After a few so-so meals elsewhere we decided... More
