Borrowing the Latin word for Earth in its name, Terra Bistro has been transforming whole foods into gourmet innovations for more than 17 years. Today, Terra Bistro is still considered a leader in the gourmet green movement. Our menus are 100% all – natural and our recipes utilize 85% to 100% certified organic ingredients. Over the years Terra Bistro has also lead the charge to embrace earth - friendly and humane values in operating our business. Our chef diligently seeks ingredients from sustainable sources and humane conditions. All seafood on our menu is Seafood Watch approved and/or a member of the CleanFish Alliance. Terra Bistro employs an in-house state-of-the art water purification and bottling system, which each year prevents thousands of bottles from entering our local landfill. We are also partnered with the Humane Society of the United States and the ProtectSeals campaign. World-renowned and a local favorite, Terra Bistro is a must for the green-conscious “foodie”.

Better before

Second time eating here as first time 6 years before. Felt good quality has gone down. Appetizers were good but Main course options not inspiring. Good location and nice setting but feel there are better places in Vail givens the prices.

Each year we visit Vail for skiing and choose the best restaurant of that visit. The contestants were: Campo di Fiore, La Tour, Sweet Basil and Terra Bistro...the winner! The Chef usually surprises with innovations. The deviled egg appetizer was neck and neck with the brioche stuffed with Talleggio cheese which was delicious and the winner. My wife's trout was... We had dinner here for my son's birthday. The main dining area is really nice and service is pretty good. We ordered some salads to start - the vitality salad was good. Most of our group had steak which they enjoyed but I had the duck which was fine but I do prefer the breast to the maryland. We shared... More

My fiancée and I had flown in that day and we're looking forward to Terra Bistro. We were pleased by the interesting menu of locally sourced products of very high quality. Dinner was very good and the detailed dishes that the kitchen crated were all excellent. Indeed, we even decided to have "just a taste" of dessert just to see... More

The Good: elegant atmosphere, friendly polite service. Shishito peppers appetizer and main course trout were excellent. The Disappointing: salmon tartar, which I eat very often, was tasteless; duck skins, listed as crispy, were anything but, very soggy, the waiter kindly brought us a complimentary second portion, slightly better, I suggest the skins be served hot with dipping sauce served separately... We have eaten at Terra Bistro numerous times over the years and we have always had a fabulous meal. This time was no exception. Our friend made the reservation but when we arrived we found that she had made a mistake and our reservation was for the next night!!! This wasn't a problem for the staff, they immediately shuffled tables... More

We recently had dinner at Terra Bistro and there appeared to be some confusion about our reservation and seating. Marjean stepped in immediately without hesitation and made us feel quite welcome. She checked in to ensure we enjoyed the ambiance, the food and the service. Her pleasant disposition made us forget about the initial misunderstanding. Marjean, you truly are the... More

Located in Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa, Terra Bistro offers creative food based on organic ingredients. Besides an excellent wine list, offers mock cocktails for kids that also pleases adults. Every dish, from appetizers to entrees come in beautiful presentations.

Bad food, worst presentation, bad smell in general, we understand about food and we have curious about the low level of the restaurant in a place like Vail Village.

We were entertained by our visit to Terra Bistro. The restaurant was filled with beautiful people wearing fur coats and looking like a caricature of high-end Vail tourists. Good people watching. The food was OK. The gnocci appetizer was bland, and the hot peppers were nothing special. The chicken "oysters" were fatty and the mushroom entree was just OK. The... More
