Times are a Changin'

The times are changing at Larkspur. The menu has been completely overhauled and the wine list seriously shortened. Overall, these are changes that need to be made to revitalize what was a tired restaurant. We visited last Friday night. For starters I had the Caesar Salad and my wife had... read more

Overpriced. And, twice our waiter had to return to tell us they ran out of something we ordered, which was frustrating. Food was definitely good but didn't blow us away. Maybe it would've had we been able to order what we actually wanted. Oh well.

Having been to Larkspur many time, this visit was terrible. The menu has changed for the great 1 it used to be. We didn't know of the menu change, nor the decor. It was very embracing!

wonderful experience. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, the cuisine is top notch, and the wine selection is first class. Great place to go to have a luxurious meal. It is expensive, but one of the few restaurants where the quality matches the prices.

Don't get me wrong the food was good. But, we were so looking forward to a Larksburger and the truffle fries. But, they were not even close the burger and fries we had at Larksburger in Edwards a couple of years ago. The fries were warm and soggy. Couldn't really taste the truffle oil. And the burger, while good, didn't... More

The food was subpar the bar area cold, and the price crazy for the food. The only thing good was the 50%off champagne deal on Valentine's Day! Had a great bottle of salon, too bad it was paired with a mediocre burger!

Our group of five combining two generations celebrated a birthday at this restaurant. The party members frequently dine in 4-5 star restaurants in Manhattan. Our server Ashley despite being very busy never appeared hurried and was prompt with the food once ordered. The dinner menu is unusual we had tacos, hamburger, steak and chicken all these meals were excellent. We... More

Larkspur restaurant is said to be one of the top two restaurants in Vail but I disagree. It is number 1! As a vegetarian for over 25 years it is difficult to find interesting (read not pizza or pasta) meals that satisfy for love of food. I had the butternut squash soup followed by the crispy chickpea cake. Both were... More

really enjoyed this restaurant on previous visits to vail. One of my more highly rated places. But this trip the menu has really changed and I didn't rate it as high. It was a lot cheaper, but I preferred the more expensive version. Anyway, we had the larkburger, which was pretty good. And dessert. The apple galette was a bit... More
