Excellent food and excellent service with amazing views of the slopes. Ask for the special off menu sushi rolls- they are always delicious. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever! Make sure to save room for the shaved ice dessert.

Matsuhisa Vail is in a class by itself for designer Japanese food, first class service and new wave vibe. IF visiting Vail / Beaver Creek, this is a must not miss !

My girlfriend and I had a most enjoyable meal at the restaurant, only problem being the nausea and diarrhoea that affected her for 48 hours after the meal. We has a lovely table away from the door and draughts, warned by previous reviewers. Although we were almost deafened in the small alcove we were in when the fire alarm was... More

Matsuhisa at Vail is the kind of restaurant that a serious diner feels ready to walk away from moments after entering the front door. The greeters act as if they are doing you a favor to have you there and tell you to hike across the large restaurant floor to get to the place where you can check your coat.... More

A definite special occasion restaurant. We ordered the tasting (degustation) menu. The food overall was quite good, but opening amuse-bouche of ceviche a little bland and the salad with baby spinach leaves, bacon and pecorino way too salty. The wine list is extensive, but pricey. Service was efficient but not particularly warm. The pace of service was a little speedy,... More

Don't bother unless you want to spend way too much money on the same quality food and service you can get at your local sushi place you like to go to. We went there on a cold night. The large windows aloud the cold air to enter into the space so we had to keep our jackets on throughout the... More

The atmosphere is trendy and we were stayng at the Solaris so this restaurant seemed a place to try. The server was annoying and brought out one miso soup but not the other and when we asked about it he appeared annoyed. Our food otherwise came out fast..... alsmost too fast ! The sea bass was too salty and sent... More

Celebrity Chef Matsuhisa Nobu is considered one of the most talented chefs in the world creating Asian dishes infused with a Peruvian influence. Our meal was the 8-course chef's tasting menu and was simply divine. I've included some pics because it was too complex to describe. Each course was a culinary art show

I liked the atmosphere, but the food was just average. I had high expectations because of a recommendation but they didn't perform. I had the black cod appetizer which was good but not great. The shrimp skewers were slightly undercooked, and the beef skewers we're a little tough but the anticuchos sauce was tasty. My wife's sushi was just average.

Almost all dishes are of excellent quality but actually overpriced. The service is good. The cleaning is excellent
