Super fresh seafood and perfect service. Would highly recommend this restaurant- ask to sit up front to take in the beautiful view of the mountain.

We went to Matsuhisa tonight and enjoyed the food--when they found time to take our order and bring it. Very poor waiter who was barely saved by a busboy who ended up taking our orders off and on. We saw our waiter twice in a two hour meal-when were seated and when I had to ask for the bill. Much... More

Yummmmm. The food is amazing, but so is the price. We spent $175/person... With alcohol and tip. The food is so fresh. The taste perfect and I don't begrudge the price. Just understand that it is worth it.

We always go to Matsu when in Vail. We have never been disappointed. The "new style" sashimi options are always great. The sashimi is always fresh and has varieties that are hard to find elsewhere. The view over the city is great, especially if it is warm enough to sit outside. The menu is so good, it is hard to... More

Read all the great reviews about Matsuhisa, so on July 3, 2014 a group 15 went there to celebrate my brother’s upcoming wedding. The ages of the group came from the 3 main areas of the Country, the Denver area, California and New York west with ages ran from 22 to 58 myself being 49 and from New York, I... More

In our so volatile eating environment with nutritional theories multiplying with self-help books, I find Japanese food consistently meeting guidelines on all levels. I love eating at the sushi bar at Matsuhisa and creating my dinner from a wide variety of choices, of which all are very high quality. Watching the sushi chefs dish out ceramic platters with artistically mounted... More

We're staying at the Solaris, so it was a no-brainer that we'd eat at Matsuhisa. Having eaten at Nobu a number of times, my expectations were fairly high. The restaurant didn't disappoint. The food was great (very similar to Nobu), and the service was laid-back yet top-notch. And don't forget to have the black cod with miso lettuce wraps. Possibly... More

We consider ourselves avid Sushi eaters, We have dined at more than 20 different Sushi spots from Minnesota to California, to Florida, and always try to find great Sushi. We asked about specialty rolls, and the waiter confirmed they had only 3 specialty rolls, we tried one, and ordered two others. To our surprise, the sushi was no better than... More

They have a 5 course diner, every dish was good, nice restaurant, good view and service. Try the eggplant and monchis for desert.
