Japanese at its best. Fresh, clean, and unique flavors - all the trademarks of Nobu restaurants around the world. The restaurant was packed solid but the staff were efficient and helpful. I reluctantly went with my young adult children since I am not a sushi lover. Still had a good time and was able to find some good non sushi items. Fun place to eat. The kids loved all the sushi items recommended by our waiter.

Last night, my son and I enjoyed another spectacular dinner in Vail at Matsuhisa. Though not the first time we've been thrilled there, this time we sat at the sushi bar and it was probably our best experience – though we always say that. The wonderful, knowledgable, professional and personable staff created exquisite, exciting, incredibly delicious, highly nuanced, tremendously complex and... More

The food was sublime, the staff very friendly and professional. They knew the ingredients and condiments to match. Cocktails were delicious and unique too. The only thing that surprised me was the loud, and commercial music playing in the restaurant. It would have been perfect had the music been turned down and/or a little more appropriate for the surroundings. Some... More

Had to wait ages for our table even though we'd booked. Food Never disappoints wherever on the globe you are. Always a little chilly though.

We ended up at Matsuhisa twice in five nights. Each item was better than the next, plated beautifully and served with good order and timing. The notable items were the yellowtail and the salmon skewers with dip. Go and Enjoy!

It was my 3rd time at this fancy japanese restaurant! Black cod is a must, the sushi is delicious, I would not have the tempura again and dessert was a shaven ice sculpture with condensed Milk and stawberry sauce, it was a lot of fun to eat!

This is a restaurant that Vail definitely needed. I have also eaten in the aspen location and it is great as well. But that location is in a basement and this location is above grade with incredible views of the mountains, the space is fantastic, large and great looking. Food is excellent, as in all the nobu-Matsuhisa locations. Try the... More

If you can handle sticker shock go with the omakase. The food is usually meticulously prepped. On our last visit however there were some bones in a duck confit. The loud music makes it difficult to converse quietly so the decibel volume of conversation is necessarily loud. The food is worth the money, but the atmosphere needs improvement.

Excellent food and excellent service with amazing views of the slopes. Ask for the special off menu sushi rolls- they are always delicious. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever! Make sure to save room for the shaved ice dessert.
