Great concept from the nobu people

As all the restaurants from nobu, its great. The food, the place, music and location is spectacular. We pay about $160 per couple including tip (a very fair price because everybody drink a couple of beers and tequilas) we order lots of starters to share, nigiris, sushis and desserts.

We had dinner at Matsuhisa with friends, and we all loved it. The place is beautiful, the food was delicious and service fantastic as well. It is very pricey, so expect to pay at least around 200 per person. Order the yellowtail jalapeno sashimi and the tiradito!

We visited here with a small business dinner, not everyone was a sushi fan, but even the non-sushi eaters were able to find something great on the menu, especially the soba noodle bowls. We ordered for the table to share, and hit a wide variety of food. The miso cod lettuce wraps are amazing and stole the show, king crab... More

Ski area restaurants are usually judged against each other, not against restaurants generally. But Vail is in a class by itself and so is Matsuhisa. Nobu's flavors, textures, inventiveness and sophistication are equal here to New York, Aspen (whose lower level location cannot hold a candle to thus spectacular two story windowed view of Vail Mountain), Las Vegas, Malibu or... This place has a great bar and funky feel. I've eaten here as a couple and in a small group and it is OK. However in a large group the fixed menus are overpriced, ridiculously undersized and they feel mass produced. The service was also tardy where drinks were concerned but funnily the food came out at a million miles... More

I foolishly took my fiancé for dinner here after several great dinners at other Vail restaurants. We each had misgivings about it but failed to heed our own intuitions. The food was deplorable. The lobster taco stater was, thankfully, delicious, however we both had the "spicy lobster" main and it was dreadful. The whole dish had one flavor and the... More
