I'll be going back for the pheasant soup!

Amazing soup, I could have had two more bowls! The burger and sweet potato fries were great and the triple chocolate cake was amazing. it was cooked to perfection. Pink, juicy and with a slight crisp is how i would describe the salmon i had.

The view is beautiful, off season is amazing. Having the restaurant to ourselves cozy. Our waiter was very attentive, off season can be very slow but for locals very relaxing. The menu choices are great, I had the Pheasant soup to start and the CO Kobe cooked to perfection. If you are in Vail this is a must for dinner.

Sat night April 2/15 all restaurants booked so I did a TA search of where to go. Atwater looked interesting and after 20 years as a part timer in Vail I had never been to The Casscade for dinner. My brother and I were seated in the fireplace room with a beautiful view. We got very lucky to have Scott... More

We have had a number of vacations in Vail but this was our first visit to Atwater. Generally I write reviews for restaurants that surprise by being either brilliant or terrible. This is an example of the latter. The first impression wasn't favourable - it was a Friday night at 7.30 and the place was only half full. The next... More

WOW. This restaurant is so good - from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food itself - that we will not only be back to dine at Atwater, but we will STAY AT THIS RESORT because of the experience we had. We made a reservation and went early so we could relax and grab a drink at the bar... More

We usually like to walk to dinner in the village, but decided to try this restaurant at the Vail Cascade because of the great reviews, and since it was a kid-friendly restaurant. We weren't disappointed at all. Great food and very friendly service. Will definitely be back.

Somehow, we missed this gem on our previous two summer visits to Vail, it being a little bit west of most of the Vail action. We found it on this trip, however, and it was our favorite meal of the vacation. For starters, the focaccia bread is a la carte, but order it anyways--it is like cake. We devoured the... More

I have returned to Atwater probably 10 times since the last review and, not only does the excellence continue, but new items arise. The pheasant soup has become one of my very favorites and last trip the duck was marvelous. The mussels continue to be a favorite as the broth is sublime and don't forget my intermezzo, Kettle One Citron... More
