Enjoyed the meal but itis expensive and not close to downtown Vail

A mixed review for the Atwater restaurant. The restaurant is about 1.5 miles away from downtown Vail so we drove over (they do have free valet parking), the restaurant decor is fine, not as upscale as the prices. The mussels were very good, the suggested daily special asparagus and egg was... read more

Stayed at Vail Cascade, where Atwater is located. Had one lunch (mussels and butternut squash soup were delicious) and one dinner myself with my family, all very good. My husband took my kids to breakfasts here while I attended a meeting, he said that was excellent. Beware of room service -- we ordered 4 desserts one night when we were... More

We had high hopes for this place. Despite having to take a bus to another part of the valley just to eat here, once we arrived we were greeted by the typical ski-bum waiter. That, alone, was fine. I have had great service from any number of young people living and skiing in Vail. However, she was so inattentive and... More

During our recent stay at Vail Cascade, we ate at the on-site restaurant, Atwater on Gore Creek. We really liked our meal. Attentive service, nice selection of craft beers and wine, well-prepared starters, Colorado lamb chops, burgers. The dinner was so good, we went back later in the week.

Had dinner here with friends....good tuna tacos and pork shank! Excellent wine, pricey but not that bad. Good service!

We went to this place on our last night here in Vail. The service was attentive, the atmosphere - very nice and cozy, with a fireplace. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, including steaks, but because we visited the overpriced Flame the previous night, we decided to stay away from the grill dishes. The appetizers were very tasty,... More

Trendy decoration and nice staff, but, honestly, the main dishes were just low-average. It may have been just our experience, but the 4 of us found the same. After hours I can still taste the extra garlic on my lamb.

We have been going to Vail for many years and often stay at the Vail Cascade. We were in town for the Alpine World Championships just this weekend and stopped in for a late lunch. There were not many people there but we found the food and service to be very good. This hotel may need some updates in places... More

I have been to this restaurant in the past, but the menu has been updated and there is also a variety of craft beers that are available. The menu includes some beer and food pairings if that is something that interests you. We started our meal with an order of mussels and some barbecue lamb meatballs. Both appetizers were enough... The food was excellent. It was hot, paired excellently and had a very good presentation. Our waiter was very poor, however the supporting wait staff was very good. They helped to somewhat make up for his short comings.
