We found the restaurant on yelp and decided to give it a try after we had had a long day of driving/sightseeing and we were not dressed for anything that couldn't accept road weary types. (i.e. slightly sunburned, hair covered with a hat, etc). So for our dinner we ate at the Bella Luna Pizzeria. They have a fantastic wood fired pizza oven and their pizza is delicious - reminds us of the ones we got in Italy. They have a good wine selection and some microbrew beer selections were available. The owners, Sandy and Jeff, are very friendly and really welcoming. Their pride in their place shows in the restoration work they
did on this historic building. They have a unigue mix of pizzas that are their own creations but I have to say, judging by the pizza we had that included "pesto" as one of the toppings, we were happily surprised that the pesto did not overpower the other flavors. They also offer a daily special for dinner (when we were there). They also offer gelato which I believe is a secret too good not to be shared. We were content after splitting a 12" pizza and some mozzarella bread sticks and slept well that night. We'll be back.

If I could possibly give this place zero stars I would. They were the rudest ladies. Wouldn't seat is as a family, wanted to separate us, slammed menus down on the bar and refused to get us beers while waited. We will never go back

My favorite pizza place I've ever been to hang out, order a beer and wait for the wood fired pizza. Do not plan on getting in and out if you need to be somewhere else. They make three pizzas at a time from scratch but it is worth the wait. I love that we were there in January and they... More

Most recommended eatery by all the locals so we planned to arrive there at 6pm, Saturday Evening or our 34th Anniversary. Place was packed - Not one seat open and wait staff was slammed. No one even came up to tell us how long it might be, or please be patient we expect an opening soon. There is not enough... More

I have celiac disease. My husband and I while on a road trip searched Trip Advisor for a restaurant that served gluten free food. Bella Luna has a menu that states they have gluten free pizza crust. While the dough/crust may be gluten free beware that it is not actually gluten free. The gluten free crust is prepped, baked, and... More

We stopped for lunch on a road trip. The restaurant is in a cute old building. Comfortable feeling. Good service. Big wood fired oven. Pizza's are made to order. Fresh and very good. We were able to order 3 custom pizza's eat, and be back on the road within 30 mins. Highly recommend.

Looking for somewhere that served vegetarian fare, we were delighted to find Bella Luna. Besides pizza they have tremendous salads with an exceptional citrus dressing. They make it fresh and it's delish!! Their paninis are tasty as well. Good beer list, too. Oh, and they do serve items for carnivores.

Bella Luna has fantastic salads, pizza and speciality items. Nice drinks and excellent choice of premium beers. The historic building and wood burning pizza oven make for a wonderful casual dining experience!

We stopped in Trinidad on our way from Arizona to Colorado Springs. There isn't much open on a Sunday in town and Bella Luna was hopping. The restaurant was understaffed and there didn't seem to be a good system of dividing patrons between the two wait staff. We didn't expect fast food because the pizzas are wood fired, but the waitress... More

Hugely popular but I've been less impressed than most people. Brick oven pizzas good but not extraordinary. Nice brick atmosphere, good people.
