The staff at the restaurant were above our expectations. Their attention to detail was above and beyond. I highly recommend this restaurant for any group dinner or special occasion. Our thanks go to Carmella, Stefano and Luigi for doing a great job.

Living in New York spoils one when it comes to choices for Italian restaurants so I usually avoid Italian restaurants when traveling outside of New York. I'm glad I tried La Piazza however. The owner greeted me with a hug as I entered and I thought for a moment I may have walked into a restaurant in Rome. It just... More

Having travelled extensively and eaten in many restaurants- note I have never posted a poor restaurant review - but I would recommend not to eat here - we had a terrible time. Luigi the waiter was so rude to us and left a reunion feeling very flat. There are so many other better options in mountain village and down the... More

Great Italian food - and a very entertaining waiter too. Portions are more European in size than American, which means you can try more courses!

If you are a foodie who appreciates excellent ingredients prepared simply that allow the flavors to take center stage, then La Piazza is a destination. If you want melted cheese laden Italian food, stick with your favorite home town spot. Luigi aspires to perfection at the helm of La Piazza. Sounds trite, but my first good impression was the olive... More

Stefano the captain is a very good asset, he is polite, and knows his job. The food is good but at the village there are no to many good restaurant, so this a good choice. Their caesar salad, is not done properly, because i like it with lettuce leaves complete, and they chop them. The pasta dishes are good. and... More

I've been coming to this place for years (back when it was one of the only places to eat in Mountain Village). It's not going to blow you away--certainly there are better restaurants in Telluride. But, you will never leave La Piazza disappointed. I usually come for dinner the first night of my vacation because it's easy, simple, and always... More

Didn't have reservation but was accommodated. Server lugi was insulting and critical of every order we made from drinks to type of dressing saying not in any good Italian restaurant you would find that. Meanwhile another table asked for same requests and all of a sudden lugi was to the rescue at their beck and call. Making the whole meal... More
