We dined at La Marmotte our last evening in Telluride. Despite uneven reviews, we really like French food and decided to give it a try. That particular night some of the staff was missing so there was a bit of difficulty in the service. Upon entering La Marmotte, it was apparent that the staff was quite busy, but no one... More

It was our anniversary dinner and overall, I would give the place a rating on the lower end of very good but above average. Our meal was quite good but the risotto needs some work; it lacked flavour. I had the lamb and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had beef and it too was cooked perfectly. The wine selection... More

Been to Telluride 4 times since 2000. We've always avoided La Marmotte, as we're not huge fans of French food, which tends to be lots of cream and butter. This year - we decided to give it a try. OMG what have we been missing. Divine Food. Truly one of the best meals of our lives. We couldn't get a... More

We had a great time! We had to wait a bit for our 8:15 reservation, but once seated everything was flawless. Nice Prix Fixe menu for $54. Wonderful wines. Very cozy ambiance and not too loud even with our party of 8. Would go back. The squash soup was terrific, loved the addition of the tomatillos. At our table, we... More

We ate here our 1st night in TRide. The room is quite romantic and it was very busy. On a snowy night, it was a picture perfect setting. The French food was incredible with rabbit, duck, etc. It is a prix fixe menu, though you can order a la carte, though I don't know why you'd want to do that.... More

Telluride is blessed with several excellent restaurants; La Marmotte ranks at the top on our list. This venue offers only a fixed-price menu, a la carte is not an option. At $54 for the three-course offering, this is not the best value in town, but for a special evening, it's worth it. Several of the entrée items carry a supplement... More

With disappointment, La Marmotte cancelled my reservation to accommodate a large group. They did try to accommodate us, however, it was our last day in the area so it was not possible.

Last night we were able to enjoy an authentic French dinner in the middle of downtown Telluride, Colorado, something we had never expected to find and were delighted we did. The restaurant, called La Marmotte, has a cozy and warm atmosphere to it, with brick walls that were once a part of an ice house but warm baseboard heating along... More

We took our family to this fabulous restaurant. The waitress laughed at our Beastie Boys reference even though she was clearly too young to know then in their heyday and provided great service. The menu was stellar with even the kids' menu had panache. A stellar dining experience.
