We had almost given up on finding a small place for a glass of wine on the night we found La Marmotte. It is down the street from the gondola, and looks sort of uninviting from the outside. Because of the rain, the patio was closed, but the Happy Hour sign brought us inside to the small bar and a... More

On our last night in town after a fun destination wedding event, we choose La Marmotte French restaurant over an Italian place. It was a rainy Sunday night when we walked the three blocks from our hotel and we were seated immediately by the window. There was outside dining available under dome tents with heaters, but no takers on our... More

First the outside summer dining is probably the nicest in town. The restaurant is a quaint seemingly French inspired spot with friendly fast service. We had a wonderful Friday lunch (only open Fridays for lunch) The soup special: a broccoli w/ short rib was exceptional as we're the salmon tacos, the salads and the carpaccio. We have returned for dinner... More

We stayed a July weekend in Telluride and found ourselves trying to find a place dine Saturday night without reservations. We were turned away from at least 4 restaurants, including the hotel restaurants, even a couple that were not full at all (!), because we (imagine!) did not have reservations. The attitude that went with these restaurants was a huge... More

Gastronomique Fantastique!!! Some nouveau French, some traditional, some seafood, some grills. My wife began with a musroom-cauliflower bisque which was excellent. I had the Bib Lettuce Caesar - also superb. My wife enjoyed the Trout Meuniere while the aged New York Strip Steak with a mushroom/onion/goat cheese reduction was absoutely fantastic! Coffee and creme brulee finished the meal. A must-stop... More

My son's rehearsal dinner was at La Marmotte. They did an exceptional job of serving 21 for dinner and 90 for dessert and drinks afterward. They kept glasses filled, served from a limited menu in a timely fashion, and had great food. We ate outdoors on the patio which gave us plenty of room to move around and mingle. The... More

La Marmotte is a great restaurant to dine at in Telluride with an excellent menu to choose from and great wine to pair items with. The muscles here are awesome as well.

This is hands down one of our favorite restaurants. We go every February for Valentines (sometimes not on Feb 14, but we have been there on the actual day, too). It is very romantic and the prix fixe menu is wonderful. I have only been with my husband, and we are always surrounded by exceptional service. We spent one evening... More

We dined at La Marmotte our last evening in Telluride. Despite uneven reviews, we really like French food and decided to give it a try. That particular night some of the staff was missing so there was a bit of difficulty in the service. Upon entering La Marmotte, it was apparent that the staff was quite busy, but no one... More

It was our anniversary dinner and overall, I would give the place a rating on the lower end of very good but above average. Our meal was quite good but the risotto needs some work; it lacked flavour. I had the lamb and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had beef and it too was cooked perfectly. The wine selection... More
