Not really french

When you advertise a french onion and it comes out in a creamy broth, you know you've been had. Don't get me wrong, it was decent food, you just won't be transported to Paris. We had a lovely meal here. Appetizers very exceptional. Beef tartar flavorful and delicious, goat cheese and onion tart rich and creamy, charcuterie plate was diverse, interesting and delicious. Entrees also delicious. Braised short ribs very tasted but needed something with a little crunch on the plate, New York Strip loin cooked perfectly with great sides, Coq au vin while... More

La Marmotte remains our first choice in Telluride for food because it has been great over the years. However, service has slipped noticeably over 3 years, and this last visit we has a real doofus for a waiter. He brought everything late, including a pre-dinner cocktail just after the main course. There are many treats on the menu, but the... More

Despite arriving over an hour late for our reservation, we were welcomed at the restauarnt and ate in a cozy part of the bar area. Our waiter, Brent (who was also the bartender) attended to us very well and made some excellent suggestions. I had the Brule of Beef Bone Marrow as an appetizer and the Roasted Idaho Buffalo Tenderloin... More

My third year in a row for my Birthday dinner. The owners and some staff are "old friends!" The food is exceptional and the building and atmosphere are unlike anywhere else in Telluride See you next December!

I have eaten several times at La Marmotte and each time have had a most enjoyable meal and a fantastic experience. Mairen and her husband make you feel welcome and special. The food is excellent and the service professional, courteous and timely. One of my sons opted for the elk which was nicely prepared, and deliciously sauced. The grilled hanger... More

My fiance and I were spending a ski weekend in Telluride and we asked several locals where to eat dinner. La Marmotte was highly recommended. Sometimes recommended restaurants aren't up to par, not only was this not the case with La Marmotte, but it surpassed our expectations. We were warmly greeted by the staff as soon as we walked in... I've eaten here a few times now and it has never disappointed. I love walking in to the cozy atmosphere and being greeted by kind waitstaff. My husband and I go here for special anniversaries and Valentine's Day because we love the food. Thank you for always being so welcoming and for serving delicious food and wine every time!

La Marmotte offers up the quintessential cozy mountain atmosphere for those seeking a truly great experience. The restaurant's quaint setting is made complete with soft lighting, pleasant music and separate bar and restaurant areas. Upon entering the space, the bar area is open and welcoming, a place where people arrive by themselves and leave with friends. The wine list is... More

La Marmotte is one of the best restaurants in Telluride. The dining room and bar are absolutely amazing. The staff is so helpful and professional. Best of all, the food is mouthwatering and the wine list blew my mind. I will definitely be back for the French cuisine. The happy hour is also amazing!
