What can I say? Excellent cocktails, a really well constructed wine list, not encyclopedic but providing real depth and variety, particularly decent red burgundies and west coast pinots. Choice prix-fixe dinners get rotated, super selection of entrees frm crisply roasted scallops to duck breast to die for. Plus the decor is just right and it's quiet and serene. Over the... More

Reviewers' consensus is that La Marmotte has excellent food and we agree with that whole-heartedly. Some doubt has been cast on the service in the past but we saw no trace of that having received outstanding attention throughout. How often do you have a waiter offer you a half glass of wine just as you are about to exhaust your... More

When you visit this type of place for the Happy Hour specials, you never know whether they will look down their noses at you ... thankfully the staff here couldn't be more friendly ! We had a couple of their gorgeous appetizers, and would have happily returned again if we hadn't run out of time. The venue is stunning, and... More

Our experience at La Marmotte was consistent with other TA reviewers experienced. If you read the reviews you will see a clear theme : Good food, poor service and pricy. Dinner will run about $80 to $100 per head. The atmosphere is very nice as the restaurant is housed in an old refurbished ice house and the unique art work... More

You need to book for the restaurant, but if not, the Happy Hour bar menu is quite satisfying and you sit with the locals. The food was great, interesting cocktails. Set back from Main Street in Telluride and not very inspiring from the exterior but don't walk away.

Anyone who knows anything about Telluride dining knows about this great restaurant, and so all that I can add to the conversation is that the tuna carpaccio is absolutely superlative!

After long day of skiing, we settled in for an awesome meal at La Marmotte. Beet salad starter was shockingly good, entrees solid. Actually, the entire meal was solid. Only thing holding back from five stars was service - it was prompt but our server seemed to be counting the seconds until her vacation. We will go back. After all,... More

We had dinner at La Marmotte on our first night in Telluride. The food was delicious, our waiter made great recommendations and helped us with the wine pairings. Great choices. Fabulous food!

This restaurant in located in an historic building that once stored ice. It has a nice dining room. Food is a bit uneven as is the service (common in our little town). Sit back and give it a chance.
