Good Value

Good Mexican style food at a good price in a ski town, with good service, right? It is true. Friendly staff, large selection of dishes, and great hot sauce selection. Open for all three meals. I can't single out one dish to try, they have all been good thus far. A lot of children, so I would... read more

Simple atmosphere but incredibly fresh and flavorful food! Everything from the salsa, salad, beans and enchiladas was some of the best I've ever had! Very fresh! Huge fan, will be going back again!!

You order at the front counter. They give you a number to put on your table for when they bring you the food. There are chips and salsas available while you wait. The chips and salsas are home made and are excellent. The main courses were very good. There is an outdoor seating area based on the season. They serve... More

The food was good, I loved the serve yourself chips and salsa bar. But, the service was awful. The restaurant was cramped and loud. The people who work there are rude. You order dinner at a counter and it can be a long wait. After our dinner we waited in line for a half hour for ice cream and when... More

Thank you for your generous three stars. I hope you will understand that the size of the space and the loudness factor is somewhat out of our control at this time. As far as the rude staff goes I think that you caught them on a rough night towards the end of a very busy three week run. No excuse... More

Wonderful fresh salsa bar and great chicken quesadilla. We went twice on our last trip. Make sure to say hello to Lupita when you go!

After a full day of skiing, the five of us headed to Telluride via the gondola from Mountain Village. I love Mexican food and was so happy to find out that there was a small little "joint" (no pun intended) on Colorado! The place is small and has little ambiance. We were fortunate to order from a server; most of... More

La Cochina is a Mexican restaurant that offers things like enchiladas and burritos along with daily specials such as short rib or salmon. The food is really quite good, and they serve liquor (beer, wine, margaritas). Their homemade limeade is excellent too. One of the best parts of La Cochina is their home made ice cream. Don't miss the coffee... More

good fresh Mexican. Good queso fundido, nice combos, soups and salads. All you can eat chips with three levels of salsa. Tasty margarita. Great place to take kids. The ice cream looked good, though I didn't try it myself.

They serve complimentary chips and assorted salsas/sauces ,which we thought were the tastiest part of the meal. The entrees of beef burritos were generous, but nothing that set it apart from ordinary Mexican food. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.

I don't know what else to say, but that this place serves your average Mexican food. It's nothing special or incredible (although maybe my expectations are high based on living in Phoenix). But the service was excellent! We called ahead and they held a table for 6 of us (it's hard to get any reservations in Telluride). We had tacos,... More
