Was really good for lunch!

3 of us... Great selection of salsas... We intended to share but had a bit of miscommunication.. So we ended up with more food than we wanted but it was tasty... It is a serve yourself type of place, so we stood out as visitors and not locals... The staff caught on and served us anyway... Next... read more

We were told the restaurant makes the food fresh daily and it's the best Mexican food in town. I was impressed by the side of Avocado they gave us. We live in San Diego and avocado is expensive and restaurants are typically not generous with it. I'm sorry to say but I wasn't crazy about my food. It also could... More

Thank you for your review. I, as the owner work to tell it like it is with no hype. We serve simple Mexican food that is made with the most wholesome ingredients we can find without it being too crazy expensive. Many restaurants use such wording as 'Best in Town, Most Traditional, All Organic' blah, blah, blah, but I prefer... More

Nice natural selection and while a bit over priced it is worth the stop - great management and the food is great.

Family of 4 just off the slopes and starving. We timed it just right by arriving at this restaurant - on main street -t before noon hour rush. Order at the counter and food served quickly table side. Within minutes not a seat was available. While you await your food, chips and salsa bar offered and quite good. We enjoyed... More

We had been here the previous december for lunch and been amazed by the quality of the food here and great service. This time not so much, service was okay, but the food tasted almost warmed up rather than fresh made. It actually tasted cold in spots .. the spottiness of the warmth makes one think of microwave cooking whether... More

We had a great mix of options that accommodated our vegan guest. I had the field salad wrap with fish and it was fantastic!! The portion size was big enough to split and the atmosphere is always fun!

Cocina de Luz is a Mexican food restaurant in Telluride on its main street, Colorado Ave. We arrived early to find ourselves the only customers. That made for quick service and hot plates. The food was excellent. Get a table near the front for people watching and a nice view of the surrounding mountains.

Service and food were OK. Portion was ample and hot. The space was a bit cramped, the server was congenial and if I were hungry for Mexican cuisine I might try them again.

For strangers to town, identifying lunch places along the main drag is a little difficult, so we were happy to come upon this restaurant. Its main dining room is small and very crowded (although there also is outdoor seating), and you have to order at the counter. It's a small menu, and I thought a little pricey for lunch (3... More

Hi Wayne and thank you for the fair and careful review. I appreciate it when customers go about this in a balanced way as you did. It is so expensive to eat in Telluride and that is of course because of expensive rents, significant labor costs as well as high food costs, especially ours because we daringly go after quality...
