By far the best of several meals we ate in Telluride (which in our experience may not be saying much!) This is clearly home-cooked, mostly Mexican fare; very fresh and with fairly inventive and wide-ranging options. While prices are high in this town, at least here you get ample portions and quality ingredients. What you don't get is much service... More

Definitely not what you'd find at a traditional Mexican restuarant; instead of your typical Sysco products, La Cocina uses fresh ingredients which I believe are supposed to be all organic ... which accounts for the higher pricing (which is about at the limit for me at this point). Aside from using quality ingredients, there's a slightly different spin on how... More

The high ratings for this restaurant are totally baffling. Blame it on the crowds at the Telluride Film Festival, perhaps, but our recent attempt to have breakfast there was one of the worst dining experiences in memory. Orders once taken simply disappeared into the kitchen, with no food emerging -- anywhere, for any table -- for over a half hour.... More

Quick, easy, & good Mexican food! Overpriced, but that's telluride for ya! Friendly service and delicious coffee and fresh squeezed juices. Nice ambiance and cool art in a great location, right in town.

This is a nice restaurant on the main street of Telluride, where you can get good, Mexican-southwestern dishes for moderate prices. You can eat inside or out on the patio but wherever you eat and whatever you order, leave room for the delicious, big scoops of their home-made ice cream.

All in all, I found the food at this restaurant to be very mediocre and not a particularly good value for the price. I got the tamales, which were very heavy, mushy, and kind of skimpy on the filling. I've had much better tamales elsewhere, so I didn't really enjoy these. I really did enjoy the side salad that came... More

This place was recommended by a local lady we met on the gondola ride up the mountain from Mountain Village. She loves their juices and organic options. We loved the coffee (free refills) and breakfast burritos! The young lady at the counter was patient and helpful as we navigated the menu for the first time, the smells and bustle in... More

Food is great, inexpensive and casual. The burrito and veggies was very good as was the fresh salsa and chips (included with your meal) they also offer a fresh juicing option and the green lemonade I chose was great. Only downside to the place is it isn't kept as clean as it could be however I didn't feel it was... More

We stopped in for a late afternoon dinner, mainly because the place allowed dogs on the patio. We asked about margaritas, and were quoted $10 each. While waiting for them, another patron came up and ordered a margarita and was charged five dollars for it...right in front of us! When questioned, the staff members backpedaled saying silly things like, "oh... More

Had late lunch here while visiting Telluride. The staff seemed rather indifferent, in fact, the man who took my order was borderline rude. The food was okay but rather bland. I could get a tastier meal at Costa Vida or Cafe Rio back in Utah, for less than half the price! I got the "organic lemonade" to drink and it... More
