Over priced for what it is. If more than three people it is likely someone's food will come out cold.
We enjoyed our dinner of caprese salad & cheese ravioli at the bar. The wine recommended to us was great as was people watching...it's a good sized establishment, and always packed.
Very good food, nice atmosphere, excellent service but I think the manager should start changing the hostesses. Don't get me wrong but it was a little inappropriate to be seated by a girl who's wearing short shorts, a spageti strap with slits on the side and showing all of her tattoos, that doesn't give the restaurant a good image.
I'm a local and recently dined here with a friend from out of town. We had an enjoyable experience on the patio this summer even though it was pricey, we felt it was worth it...not so much this time around. On a Wednesday night 2ppl they first sat us at the bar...we should have stayed at the bar instead of... More
We didn't book and so were seated in the side room ,disappointed as the main restaurant was no where near full .To be honest I found it a little pretentious ,we are British and this sort of food is nothing special back home .Very expensive for a bowl of pasta. The veal however was very good.
I know nothing about the ownership, but I really felt like the manager was trying to take care of everyone in the restaurant. He watched, directed, instructed, etc. We had awesome service and great food. Good wine selection, and good bar selection as well. We love coming to this restaurant when we visit Telluride.
I can only attest to the mushroom risotto, but it was very good. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food. The wine was good, too. They have no problem handling large families as many of their tables seated 8.
Eat at the bar. Super nice bartender that works the hill by day. Clean, friendly and solid pasta dishes and risotto. Will be back.
I rode the gondola down to town with a family who frequents Telluride and they were dining at Rustico. They raved about it so my friends and I tried it a couple nights later. Though only one of us ordered an entree, the food was excellent. I had the minestrone soup and it was delicious. Service was very attentive and... More
Love sitting in the main dining area near the fireplace! The service is impeccable. An very extensive Italian wine list. Double RL steaks are on the menu as well as traditional pasta and seafood entrees. We ordered Alla Salsicia which came recommended. Interesting combo of carnaroli rice, artichokes and sausage. A little on the bland side for my tastes. The... More
