An outdoor gem

When your skiing in Telluride, the last thing you want to do is go inside for lunch and miss the view, so go to Bon Vivant for an outdoor lunch with a French flair! The soups are delicious!

Whilst this small restaurant can be really hard to get a table / place at the bar ... it really is worth it. The delicious croque monsieur is one of the most enjoyable french eating experiences that I've ever had ! The crepes were pleasant, but completely obliterated by the croque monsieur. A local resident later told me that she... More

The setting is beautiful and deserves to have staff that care. There appeared to be a "manager" or supervisor that was the worst offender...pushing those of us standing at the bar to order a drink, aside to put dirty glasses on the bar. Terrible frown on her face and never once said "excuse me" to all 4 of us waiting... More

I hate to pan this place because the outdoor, mid-mountain setting and view of the peaks is spectacular, but even that can't make up for the seemingly uncaring, ...no wrong word, oblivious service. Yes, weed is legal in Colorado but does that give license for everyone to either be or act stoned? Seriously, all I ordered was a crepe. I... More

One of the best meals I've had during our stay in Telluride and on the slopes. A+++ food and service at 11,200 feet a must do for lunch on the slopes.

Impossibly great scenery, good food and drink selection, and I expect to pay more in a setting like this but $10 for a cappuccino?

At the top of chair 5 at the Telluride ski resort is the small outdoor restaurant Bon Vivant. Wonderful food and service for an on-the-slopes experience with spectacular views. Be sure and arrive early as they do not take reservations!

We stopped for crepes and ended up with the wild boar and mushroom soup as well. All of the food was great a nice atmosphere and excellent views. The only reason I did not rate it higher was because the service was quite slow...we really wanted to get back out on the slopes and had to wait.

After a hard morning on the fantastic Telluride ski terrain our teacher deposited us at the top of lift 5. That's where you find the best lavatories and best restaurant on the slopes, he said. We checked in with Bon Vivant and had to wait for a table but it was a sunny day and this was no hardship. Once... More

My group of 6 stopped at this lovely location for a coffee in January 2105. The staff ignored the young lady wanting to place the order for as long as possible before finally taking the order. The cost of 6 very average warm coffees was $70 US including the tip. If they only want to serve food to tables then... More
