All I have to say is that this place is the coolest place on planet earth. The Foie Gras rocks epically with a bottle of Krug at 11,000'. Every time I visit it is a pleasurable experience. The question that keeps going through my head is how on earth do they operate this place being so remote on the mountain... More

tried to emulate a French style restaurant ,badly. Poor service (copying the French I guess),appalling food and the hot chocolate was the worst I have ever had ,it was practically without any milk. It isn't the Alps so why try to be ? Celebrate what you have ,fab views ,great snow try honest food and service too.

Last day of a week in Telluride so we planned lunch at this spectacular location. Had to wait about 45 mins for a table so eventually sat down around 2.30 pm. Upside was a complimentary glass of cider while we waited. This was last bit of good customer service. Our order took way too long and no apology for the... More

The restaurant on top of the mountain 13,000 ft. Accessible only by ski lift. Outside sitting with amazing mountain views. Great onion and mushroom soups. Delicious french food and perfect chocolate crapes. Perfect after skiing.

We have eaten twice at Bon Vivant. It is such a wonderful location with gorgeous views of Wilson and Palmyra Peaks. They claim to have the best hot chocolate on the mountain and I have to agree that it is the best I have ever had. We have also had the crepes which were wonderful and the wild mushroom soup.... Beautiful views, thoughtful service, decadent food....the most romantic lunch spot at 11,000 feet you'll find. The Savory Mushroom Soup en croute is not to be missed! Limited menu but generous portions. Delicious.

Although you need to take a ski lift up (and then ski all the way back down) this is an experience not to be missed. The views from the top of the mountain are spectacular on the day we had lunch. It's an open air French cafe- totally exposed- so I'm sure weather impacts the experience. The menu was traditional... More

Between the new drinks on the menu this year - the bloody mary being my favorite up there now! - and the food, Bon Vivant has some of the best food in town. I would highly recommend both soups, and the Lamb French Dip is out of this world! The Executive Chef up there, Jared, has done some great things... More

Kept coming back for lunch - the location and views are magnificent. The staff very friendly and efficient. Lunch selection not too big but everything was delicious - between the 4 of us - we pretty much tried everything on the menu over the course of a few days and everything was very good - just what one needs for... My mother always called me a "bon vivant." I guess she was right. bon vivant - /bän-vē-vänt, bōⁿ-vē-väⁿ/ n. a person who enjoys the good things in life, especially good food and drink. Guilty. When my son and I first came off of the #5 Lift on our first full day of snowboarding in Telluride, I really felt like I... More
