This very small restaurant in the middle of the mountain is outstanding! When you enter the restaurant you are greeted by waiters dressed in black and a roaring fire. The menu is small but everything is absolutely delicious! But expensive! A grilled cheese sandwich and small bowl of soup costs $22. However, every morsel is spectacular! The antipasto platter for... Cute location but cramped. Prices way higher than average on mountain eatery. Good food but not much variety to choose from.

How much better can a panini and wine get?! Whoever thought up Alpino Vino is a sheer genius; a beautiful heated outdoor patio at 12,000 feet staring at Mt. Wilson with an incredible wine list, fabulous food and a fun wait staff awaits you at Alpino Vino. We'd heard rave reviews but hadn't yet mustered up the patience to spend... More

For those who appreciate good food and fine wine, and who can hold their liquor while skiing afterwards, schedule a stop at Alpino Vino, preferably when most of your skiing day is done. One of the highest dining experiences on the continent, Alpino Vino caters to skiers during the day, then every Wednesday to Saturday night, to diners looking for... More

There is no question, food and wine here are expensive but then, you are at about 12,000 feet and the view is fantastic. Service has always been fine except they do say the oddest things sometimes. Last visit when I requested bourbon I was told “we don’t serve alcohol at this altitude”……What? You will let me order a bottle of... More

The restaurant has a great vibe, fabulous service- not only attentive but fun as well. The food is fabulous. We went twice and would have wanted to go a few more times to try a few other items in the menu that looked fantastic!

Best soup and sandwich ever! Very expensive, quaint, only 4 indoor tables. Convenient, slope side, ski in/ski out restaurant. Great service, get there early or late, it fills up during the normal lunch hour.

It is small, and the emphasis is very much on the 'vino'. My wife and I had a bottle of sparkling water with a very very good antipasto platter that had excellent cheeses and cured meats.
