We stayed at the Hotel Columbia, where this restaurant is located. The guide in our room stated the time the restaurant closes. We entered the restaurant 1 hour prior to closing and the Bartender who was clearly annoyed barked at us that the kitchen was closed and they would not serve us. We were still in the doorway as he... Every dish brought to our table was a perfect 10, including the bread basket! We were but so fortunate to be seated at a table across from the new pastry chef ,Sadie, who was but so humble in not having it known that she was THE pastry chef (our waiter had called her out after we raved about the bread).... Our 30th anniversary and we went on a bad night for the chef. I was really looking forward to this night and the anticipation of a great meal. Wow...my wife was not impressed with her ribeye...salty and overly fatty. My surf and turf was just ok and a bit salty as well. The cosmos were excellent and the staff was... More

It is pricy for the amount of food you get, but delicious. They have a great happy hour special. The atmosphere is wonderful during the summer and winter and they make a mean Cosmo martini.

There was nothing to dislike about this restaurant. My seared tuna and Fat Tire beer made for a wonderful meal. Mark, the GM, came by the table to see how our meal was and I always like to see that level of concern. I would go back again in a heart beat.

The Cosmopolitan is a great restaurant when visiting Telluride. We could tell it is a favorite of locals and visitors. My husband and I shared the Burrata salad, fabulous! We both had the veal short ribs with creamy polenta and my mom had the lamb sirloin. Both were delicious with a fabulous blend of sauces. A delight to the palate.... More

The chef at Cosmopolitan restaurant at Hotel Columbia produced one of the best meals we have had the pleasure of enjoying in a long while. While the season was winding down, the service, quality and pure eating delight were not waning in this mountain high hotel. When in Telluride, make it a point to dine at the Cosmo!

On our recent trip to Telluride, we discovered(via Trip Advisor) this little gem right at the bottom of the Gondola. It was actually an 8 minute walk to our condo along the lovely riverwalk path. following happy hour of $5 Cosmos and $7 wine, we were seated at a cozy table. As we perused the menu we began munching on... More
