Busy Local Spot

We have learned to go where the locals go. We stopped for lunch on a Saturday and were lucky to be the only ones waiting, waiting for about 5 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, there was quickly a line of about 4 parties waiting. Our waitress is the only reason we aren't rating 5 stars, she... read more

I didn't eat any of the baked goods but they looked fabulous. Everything was homemade and quite delicious. We were there for lunch and I had the salad and butternut soup which was delightful. Later wished I would have had one of their hot sandwiches that another couple in our group had and looked fabulous.

After coming to Steamboat for 5 years, I finally tried Winona's for breakfast and they did not disappoint. They make homemade cinnamon rolls that are as big as your plate! They also have plenty of options for kids and gluten free options. We went on a Wednesday morning and they offered us a Bloody Mary or Mimosa as well. Excellent... More

We ate a Winona's on the recommendation of friends the first day we got to Steamboat. It is an excellent small family diner with incredibly delicious, fresh food. I had the Forest Scramble, which included fresh broccoli, garlic, cheese and eggs. Just delicious. Kids had eggs and french toast and also loved theirs. Decent coffee, extremely friendly and solicitous wait... More

This place should not be missed on a visit to Steamboat. We were in town for 2 days, ate here our first day and could not help but go back for the second. Prices are reasonable, Staff was prompt, friendly and helped us decide on activities to do around town. The cinnamon rolls look unbelievable even though we did not... More

There is a nice selection of food. I had the crab soup, which was excellent with lots of crab. The service was swift. It was easy to park in front of the restaurant as well. Be aware they close at 3 pm.

My family stumbled upon this property after finding several other larger restaurants too busy to accommodate us. Winona's is very small, but the staff works very hard to keep the tables turning quickly and our wait was minimal considering we were trying to get a table at noon on New Year's Day. Our food was very, very good and the... More

We popped into a very busy place. They seated us in 6 minutes. Very freindly staff. All 5 of us really liked our food. And don't forget to take some dessert with you drim their case. Yum!

I kept reading about Winona's on the main street (Lincoln Ave) and usually shy away from main street restaurants, but wanted to try the place that got all the headlines for their cinnamon rolls as big as your head! We had a short wait for a table in the small restaurant, as turnover is fast. We ordered eggs, one over... More
