We visit Steamboat several times a year and always eat at Mazzola's. Yes, it is in a basement and noisy, but it is kid friendly (they give the kids dough to play with) and casual. The hummus is truly wonderful. We usually order the house salad and pizza (thin crust) which is delicious. Portions are huge, we always have leftovers... more

Yeech! The place is in a box(basement)and the food tasted like it came from a box. I got one of the "house specialties" and I have had better food in a school cafeteria. The server was prompt-though condescending. I would call it authentic Colorado Chef Boyardee cuisine. more

Food might be good.? No reservations allowed and wait is horrendous. You would not believe the atmosphere...basement, crowded, can't move. Not worth the wait. more

We were told it was a casual atmosphere which worked great for us after a day of skiing. The wait staff was courteous and knowledgeable and our glasses were always full. The hummus/bread was to die for. When they say "we have two portion sizes-- 'large and HUGE" they weren't joking. You will not go away hungry and our server... more

After a day on the mountain 1-4-09 we opted to have a pizza and Garlic Cheese Bread delivered. I have to admit that being from Chicago I am spoiled on pizza. The cheese bread was only 4 small pieces for $6. I felt ripped off. The "large" wasn't very, and had about 2" around the edge with no topping. There... more

We had dinner here our first night when we were in Steamboat Springs last July and we will have dinner at Mazzola's the first night of our return next week. This place is no tourist trap and it's no chain. The food is fresh, very good and the whole dining experience is A+++. We throughly enjoyed our food and our... more

We just got back from our first trip to Steamboat Springs and had a great time! I had heard lots of good things about Mazzola's and was thrilled when the front desk at the hotel told us they deliver since we had just finished a long, exhausting day on the slopes and were too worn out to get dressed and... more

My husband and I ate here in late November 2008-- the week before the slopes opened up . Mazzola's is located in the basement of the Hotel Bristol. The waiter brought out hummus and olive oil with a pesto mixed sauce to dip the delicious homemade bread in.. That was incredible! YUM!! We had the calamari appetizer- which was tender... more

This restaurant is essentially a very simple pizza and pasta place in the basement of a hotel. And I do mean in the basement, with low ceilings and all. The whole place was rather dingy. There was noise and clatter of pots and dishes coming from the kitchen, which is almost centred in the space and separated only by a... more
