Mazzolas is one of the locals' favorites. Something for everyone, good portions, authentic Italian, and consistently yummy. Try the Mazzolas house salad, seafood pasta, or their pizza- can't go wrong. Tuscan Steak is a fabulous steak for the price (and you can pay a heafty price for a good steak in this town, but not here!). Have fun and enjoy!... more

My husband and I just recently returned from visiting our daughter and her family in Steamboat Springs. On our last Tuesday night in town, we visited Mazzola's for their seafood night. Our meal was absolutely fantastic, the lobster and crabmeat cakes were the best I have had anywhere and the macadamia encrusted halibut was better than any we had in... more

I loved this restaurant for 1) its cozy basement location, 2) cheerful and knowledgeable waitstaff (who even offered tips on where to sled in town), 3) incredible complimentary homemade (and warm!) bread and hummus appetizer, and 4) delicious thin crusted pizza. If you can, get there a little early to beat the big rush of loyal customers. You'll love Mazzola's... more

We got there at about 8pm, on a Saturday night and had to wait for a table. The waiting area is small and a bit cramped. The bar is right at the entrance. We were seated after 10minutes. The atmosphere is a bit strange, not a lot of windows. It's almost like in a basement. it was quaint once we... more

We had a group of 8 (4 adults, 4 children) - seated quickly at a big round table. They brought out dough for kids to make shapes and then they baked it and gave it back to kids as souveniers. Nice creative touch that kept the kids busy during the wait for our food. Food came out quickly. Salad mixed... more

I went there with my wife and 3 y/o daughter on 9/24/2007 on the advice of some good reviews from this website. We were not disappointed. Small place downstairs and has a very cozy, not fancy feel. In talking to the folks next to us, they estimated that 75% of the folks inside were locals, and it became apparent when... more

The service in ski towns usually ranges from somewhere around mediocre to just outright rude. The quality of the food is also usually bad. But in Steamboat, we always get good service and great food. We went to Mazzola's one night this last trip we went on, and it was top notch italian food. We had some great bruchetta to... more

We ate at Mazzola's on a rainy Saturday night in October. Our 3 children, 16,14,10 years old enjoyed their meals. The child size portion of fet alfredo was good sized for a smaller appetite. Fet alfredo for our teen was more than enough for one meal. OUr 14yr old had a small pizza. The single sized salad tossed at the... more

.....with all the rave reviews but our visit to this restaurant wasn't very good. We went on the glowing recommendations on this site and who knows, maybe we caught them on a bad night. The restaurant was BAKING hot but we were seated quickly enough - the service was fine. Wine was reasonably priced. The problem was the food! We... more
