You won't leave hungry

We turned up without a reservation 6.30pm midweek (2 people) and found the place to be packed so ended up eating at the bar which wasn't a problem. Food was of good quality, we had the ribs and the beer battered shrimp, plus you get unlimited salad bar and excellent cinnamon rolls. The bar... read more

I hadn't been up to Steamboat in a while and was nervous to plan my boyfriend's birthday fun up there. Asked a friend for a recommendation on where to go to have a nice dinner. She recommended Ore House and I swear I will eat up there every time I get back up to Steamboat. Incredibly cozy atmosphere. We were... More

OK, their meats are to die for we have been told by family. We have never needed to go past the seafood they offer, always perfectly cooked and seasoned. But before your entree you have the opportunity to experience a lost art in this world, a make your own salad, salad bar. Who could ask for more than those 2... More

Every time we come to Steamboat we make at least one visit to the Ore House. Each time I think I might try something new but end up getting my tried and true: Prime rib, house potato, green beans - super! start it off with their salad bar and you have and unbelievable experience. Someone in our party always gets... More

If you like a great steak in a homey atmosphere you need to try the Ore House. Lots of food, so don't fill up at the endless salad bar or eat too much of the excellent bread. Can't go wrong with the New York or Filet.

Had an excellent meal here with friends after a day of skiing. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient. The restaurant setting is rustic with that authentic CO feel. There are very few larger dining room but many smaller eating areas which give it a very quaint feeling. Our group ordered an assortment of steaks and vegetable plates. All the... More

Absolutely the most phenomenal prime rib I've ever had. Service was top notch, Diane & Emert make you feel like a king and seem to genuinely care about you having a pleasant dining experience. A must go and will make sure to dine here every time I'm in town!

I have been coming to Steamboat for over 30 years durning which many restaurants have opened and closed. I always visit the Ore House and have never been disappointed. Both the prime rib and steaks are a reason to eat here. Make reservations during the ski season.

I didn't find the S-B restaurants all that good, but this one rates higher than the rest. Our group liked it enough to go back a second time in a week. The salad bar isn't very varied, but it's adequate and all in all OK. I had a small filet steak and it was tender and tasty, someone had fish... More
