My husband and I have been enjoying the Tugboat for over 30 years and were sorry to hear that the new owners had "run it into the ground." (A comment from a local.) The restaurant stands empty now, and one of our favorite watering holes is gone...hopefully the resort (whom we understand purchased it?) will open it again soon, but... More

The Tugboat is a ski town favorite. We travel to Steamboat 3 or 4 times a year, and always end up at the Tugboat. Food is good, nothing too fancy, but really good. (Love the pulled pork sandwich!) It's a great place to eat after skiing, and in the summer has outdoor tables. We have had friendly, and personable servers.... More

I travel across the state for work. After ordering food, about 40 minutes later we were notified that they were out of everything on the menu. Same thing happened to the table next to us. Horrible restaurant!!!!

We only went for drinks, but we loved the bartender. He was willing to help us figure out new drinks, socialized with us, and even divided up the tab of a large group with no complaints! :)

We were here on a slow night. The food was ok, typical bar food. Our server was great, we enjoyed him. Good location, close to condos. Worked well for us. Might have enjoyed it more if we were out for a night of drinks.

We use to love this place, but had dinner there last night. I can't believe how bad the food was - OK, the wings were OK - but the burgers and catfish were awful. How on earth can they ruin french fries - they were so over fried - not burned, but were an odd greasy potato chippy kind of... More

Used to be one of our favorites but with the complete lack of service and new limited menu, it's now off our list. On our last visit we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for food that never came and we finally left. No apologies from our waitress either. Repeated calls to manager / owner Jim were never returned and... Each year we visit Steamboat we find our way for a lunch at least one day to Tugboat. This year was no exception. It was late lunch, but still busy and our waiter's first day. The food was fine, but the kitchen was very, very slow. Our waiter continued to apologize for the slowness. We still enjoyed our lunch and... More

Used to have good music, but we got a bad one and had to pay the $5 cover for 20 people. not really happy with that, but it's still worth a try because the bands used to be really good. i'm hoping we just got a bad day.

Our group enjoyed our lunch at Tugboat. Close enough to walk to slopes but not as crowded as places right at the gondola. I would recommend the chili and chicken nachos.
