When I called to make a reservation to Harwigs I asked if a old friend would be working. When my friend said "Well that would be me" , plans changed. It was going to be dinner at the bar with the great Jack Doyle. Now Harwigs is a formal restaurant with excellent service in the dining room that we have... More

My wife booked a reservation at Harwigs without knowing anything about it. We had a wonderful time. I eat many corporate dinners at many great restaurants and the experience we had at Harwigs ranks at the top of my list of great experiences. The food was really good, but the experience was what made Harwig's exceptional. Our server was exceptional... More

Harwig's was recommended to me, and I needed a good place for 36 women. I called in advance and spoke with Jamie. He was wonderful. His attention to detail was so appreciated. It was so nice because they really went out of their way to make sure that our experience was perfect. He put us in our own room and... More

Exhausted from travel our hotel suggested we check out harwigs to grab a bite and regroup. Loved, loved, loved this establishment!!! We were greeted so warmly by Jack and Laura we felt right at home instantly. The wonderful food, drinks, and conversation totally turned a less than great day around. Top notch everything and a haven for the tired traveler.... More

Had heard fabulous things and read awesome reviews of L'Apogee. As a result we booked our last night here with our best friends to celebrate a great time in Steamboat. On a Thursday night, peak dining hour and in-season, the restaurant was empty aside from 1 other couple. That should have been the first clue. Cocktails, food, service, ambiance were... More

Had dinner here 1/3/14. Ahi tuna app was tasteless. Duck entree was as well and duck was tough. My husband thought the cobia was great. Not sure if our guests entrees were good or not. Staff always great. Table in bar next to table right by window is terrible. Not enough room between the tables-always scooting chair for waiter to... More

We went for the first time in a long time and were so very pleasantly surprised with the food! Not only was the staff very accommodating (one vegan, one pescetarian, 2 gluten free, and one meat lover), but every dish was just so yummy! The vegan dish was so beautifully prepared you would think we were at a vegan restaurant.... More

We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere immensely. Our server was lovely and the sommelier was knowledgable and helpful. There were, however, several glitches -- waiting 10 minutes before someone asked if I wanted a drink, a server attempting to deliver another table's appetizers, no one bringing the bread, etc. I was disappointed that all the meat options were imported... Thank you very much for the input. We will make adjustments to sharpen our waitstaff immediately, constructive criticism is always helpfull. There is only one New Zealand raised protien on our menu however, the Cervina Venison rack. All of our beef, chicken, rabbit, and pork are raised in the Yampa Valley, and the Colorado lamb comes from the neighboring county... More

My wife, a friend or two and I started our New Year here (a couple days into the new year) - and it was a great start to the year. My tastes were heightened when the server brought out the East Coast (PEI) oysters. Having worked many years ago on Nantucket @ a restaurant shuking these beauties I was amazed... More

My Girlfriend and I have lived in Steamboat for almost a decade. We decided to make reservations for New Years Eve. What an Experience it was. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were treated like royalty. We both ordered some wine and they brought out this amazing bread with their churned butter and a hint of salt... More
