My wife and I have only been to this restaurant once. They had a fairly young chef and the waitress kept telling us how he cooked everything with garlic. "Isn't it wonderful!!??" Garlic, garlic, garlic. The whole place smelled of garlic. Our food was very weak; using a pile of garlic on food does not make it Italian or good.... more

My wife and I were looking for a pizza joint. We had another restaurant in mind, but a local shop employee recommended Mambo Italiano hands down above all others. So, we changed our plans and we're happy we did. Great service, great atmosphere, comfortable outside dining area, and very tasty entrees (we decided against pizza, although their pizzas looked wonderful... more

stopped there in Mid April. The food and service were excellent. the garlic bread which looked like baked ham was very heavily seasoned....just the way I love it. You must try the nachos too...yummy. I also had the lasagna which was a great way to finish it off....unfortuanately too full for desert more

Really...best Garlic bread ever..lots of garlic flavor and a nice little kick of red pepper flakes..moist all the way through the bread..not just on the top..amazing. Calamari was good..tender, with good maranara sauce. We had all skied during the day and were all hungry and we ALL left with doggie bags..very good sized portions but not ridiculous. Two us us... more

Good locals place. Especially in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the weather. Not much of a view on the patio, other than your significant other, but it beats going inside, which is small and tight. Bit of advice.... go early (i.e. between 4:30 and 6). Once the crowds come, things get hectic, and the wait staff... more

Visited Steamboat Springs in July 2008, I had read other comments on trip advisor and also got the same recommendation from the front desk at the Inn...glad we went!!! The Mambo Tootsie roll app was so good and the house dinner salad had the most perfectly mixed dressing. Both our entrees were excellent and we shared a great bottle of... more

The bar is small, narrow, and not really condusive to large groups, but if you're in the mood to sit at a bar, have a good happy hour, or sit on a nice patio in downtown Steamboat in the summer, then Mambos is great. The food (dinner) is so-so, overpriced but if you're not super-picky with Italian food, you won't... more

We went on a Saturday night in late March. It was packed, so I anticipated a great meal. Our waitress couldn't get my wife's order right initially, but after two failed attempts she finally got it. Food was average, but the environment is what really killed the mood. It was so loud, I couldn't hear my wife from across the... more
