Beware of Spice

Delicious food. The chicken was great; so was the pizza with fresh ingredients and the cioppino and the pasta in vodka sauce. Unfortunately for me and my son, we both ordered pasta with marinara type sauces and they were too spicy/peppery for us. It was an enjoyable ambiance and the wine was good... read more

We had a large group (10) so it was very tight but cozy. Food was excellent and service was good despite being jam packed. Overall it was a very nice dining experience. We'll definitely be back!!!

Like so many restaurants in Steamboat, you leave feeling fairly satisfied but thinking that you paid too much for what you got. This place is no exception. Fairly good food, fairly good service, noisy atmosphere. Fairly expensive. I often visit here, and I could write an identical review for many of the places I've tried. Maybe that's just the nature... Very friendly and engaging service, although simple entrees took forever to be served. Homestyle flavor in the food, cheery atmosphere. Go if you're in a not-too-demanding mood, and wash down the tasty food with a hearty glass of red wine.

Delicious Italian food, great for families. Small restaurant. Located just off the main drag in cute downtown Steamboat. Good pastas, sauces, risotto, gnocchi as well as a good kids menu. Do NOT let your child eat the raw dough they give kids to play with. This is not Mambo's fault -- dumb Mom let her 10yo eat it all and... More

Enjoyed a wonderful meal with great service after a day of skiing. The food was fresh, generous portions and very tasty. The restaurant was crowded so we ate at the bar. This turned out to be another fun experience as the bartender was attentive, friendly and made great recommendations. The only downside is it's a bit pricey for pasta. We... More

I'm from New York City, and love Italian food. While on my Steamboat ski trip last week, I asked the locals where I might find a good Italian restaurant. Most responded that being a New Yorker, I'd be very disappointed with the Italian food in Steamboat. Since I have eaten at a Mambo Italiano in Brooklyn, NY, I figured I'd... More

Four of us had fabulous dinners. We all had different dinner meals. I had a great glass of wine. I recommend visiting this restaurant while in Steamboat.

We always eat here while in town for Spring Break. The garlic bread with pesto is wonderful! We all got the Caesar salad which was the best ever tasted according to some in our party. The pasta rustica, pizza, and spaghetti were superb!

I visited this place numerous times over the years and most recently on 3/7/2015. The pizzas here are what I refer to as "designer pizzas". The Fig and Gorgonzola pizza is very good as are many of the others. This isn't New York style but more thin crust and very inventive. The other items on the menu are very good... More
