This winter we will be open for dinner on weekends. Dinners will be served family style at a communal table. Come enjoy a relaxed, delicious meal with us. Sweet Pea is a quaint little restaurant located in Downtown Steamboat Springs on Yampa Street. We specialize in farm to table cuisine and support local farming efforts. Seasonally we host the most beautiful water side deck in all of Steamboat cozied up to the Yampa river with an ancient Gypsy Willow tree covering the deck. In the summer we serve both lunch and dinner and also have a happy hour from 3-6pm. $6 Cocktails, $3 off wine and $2 off beer.

New Format a Fit for Ski Friends

Sweet Pea has just begun offering a fixed menu for 2 seatings on Fri/Sat/Sun nights. The food is AMAZING, featuring five hearty courses themed to "farm to table" offerings. We enjoyed the bean soup, the homemade pasta course and the braised lamb main course. We were on a culinary trip and the... read more

My father and I have a tradition of dining at Sweet Pea during the winter season and it has always been increasingly delicious. Most recently, with the new set time and menu format, was truly delightful and my only regret is that I could not eat more of the copious plates. The Mexican themed food was incredibly tasty, creative, and... More

The food was excellent, well prepared & healthy, serviced by welcoming attentive but not intrusive staff, in a pleasant, comfortable, unpretentious environment. This is the best restaurant in town & stands up to other fine restaurants in larger towns. Steamboat is full of restaurants with menus very heavy on meat. Our fixed price multi course dinner at Sweet Pea included... More

We usually love Sweet Pea during the summer, but thought we would try the new dinner format. We loved the farmhouse dinner. The food was absolutely fabulous and the wine pairing with it was great. We sat with one other family and really enjoyed getting to know them. The chef was very accommodating for any dietary restrictions or for our... More

Had a great evening the other night with a group of friends at Sweet Pea for one of their Farmhouse dinners. The food was delicious. Four courses: soup, salad, entree with sides, and desert with coffee. We also had the wine paring, which was very nice. One can also order wine by the bottle or glass. The service was just... More

This new format for Sweetpea is a winner . Chef Pete gets to focus on one creative effort each evening . This results in almost 10 creative dishes each seating , with a very inexpensive wine pairing . One needs to be ready for a community experience , not a quiet couples night out . I noticed that Chef Pete... More

Chef Pete shows his culinary expertise and charming nature at Sweet Pea's farm house dinner. All family style dishes were prepared with attention to details and were unique and so tasty. I loved the slow roasted Yampa valley pork, the salad with caramelize pears, butternut squash soup with herbed yogurt and croutons! Thanks all for a great experience. We'll be... More

This week we tried the new menu concept at Sweet Pea. The food was great and creative. It was nice hearing the chef list the ingredients, which were all basic and simple. Our meal started with a soup and salad. Everyone raved about how good the salad was (not taking anything away from the soup). The highlight of the main... More
