Description: Sweet Pea is a quaint little restaurant located in Downtown Steamboat...
Sweet Pea is a quaint little restaurant located in Downtown Steamboat Springs on Yampa Street. We specialize in farm to table cuisine and support local farming efforts. Seasonally we host the most beautiful water side deck in all of Steamboat cozied up to the Yampa river with an ancient Gypsy Willow tree covering the deck. In the winter, we have inside seating and a cozy fire to keep you warm. Our menu speaks for itself but it is incredibly delicious and healthy. It is comprised of all home made dishes using ingredients from local and humane farms. We take reservations and are very family friendly. In the winter we serve dinner 7 days a week from 5-9pm. We also have brunch on Sundays from 10am-3pm. Happy hour is served every day in the bar from 5-6pm with $5 daily selected tapas, $6 specialty cocktails, $3 off wine, and $2 off beer. In the summer we serve both lunch and dinner and also have a happy hour from 3-6pm. $6 Cocktails, $3 off wine and $2 off beer.

Lunch by the river

Nice place for lunch right alongside the river. On a unexpectantly hot day, it was a cool shady place to have a quiet lunch. It did get crowded and we had about a 20 minute wait. Service was friendly. The menu mostly involves sandwiches but they were inventive. My sandwich was good but I did... read more

This was by far our best meal during our week in Steamboat. The location was great. Sitting by the river was relaxing and beautiful. The shrimp and grits were so, so good. My husband's bbq chicken dish was great. The beans were a little underdone but the flavor made up for that. This place will be on our list for... More

There was a wait, which can be a problem when traveling with little ones, but as seating was outside and there was a patio area, the wait wasn't as much of a problem as it usually is. Great ambiance, and as we were visiting during shoulder season, the kids were able to explore the patio quite a bit as there... More

Two friends and I ate here on 6/19 based on the recommendation of the clerk where we lodged. Bad choice. The service was slow and inattentive and the food was mediocre at best. We sat at the bar for a good fifteen minutes before the bartender even acknowledged us and then waited several more minutes to get our drinks. We... More

My husband and I went to SB for the 4th of July and we are looking forward to going back this 4th. I was in a panic because I couldn't remember the name of our favorite restaurant from our last trip. Everything is fresh, and creatively prepared. Their beverages were also interesting and unique. They are great about customizing what... More

The friendly and incredibly helpful hostess was able seat us at a great table right by the water, even without a reservation. The outdoor setting could not have been better. The dining area is under a canopy of trees and adjacent to the Yampa River. We saw an occasional tuber float by as we ate. Among the six of us,... More

Really nice setting, excellent service - especially from the hostess, who was very attentive. While the food was good and the portion sizes were acceptable, I found the prices to be high for what was offered, especially for my vegetable plate, which was nothing extraordinary.

I kind of wish I liked this restaurant more than I do, but I don't. There are some nice things about it. They have outdoor seating by the river, and what they make is supposed to be all from fresh ingredients. And they make a really good bloody mary. Other than that I'm not that impressed. The food even though... More

As someone who works in a restaurant, as a host and a server. Everything was terrible!!! Terrible customer service!!! We decided to try it out after hearing about the restaurant. After being confused we found out, from a cook, that seating was outside. There was no sign. After standing at the "podium" we were about to leave when we asked... More

Sunny day, eating lunch by the river - the ambiance cannot be beat. Food and service were both very good.
