Description: Sweet Pea is a quaint little restaurant located in Downtown Steamboat Springs on Yampa Street. We specialize in farm to table cuisine and support local farming efforts. Seasonally we host the most beautiful water side deck in all of Steamboat cozied up to the Yampa river with an ancient Gypsy Willow tree covering the deck. In the winter, we have inside seating and a cozy fire to keep you warm. Our menu speaks for itself but it is incredibly delicious and healthy. It is mostly all home made dishes that use ingredients from local and humane farms. We take reservations and are very family friendly. While serving both lunch and dinner we also have a happy hour from 3-6pm where we have $5 salads, $5 Cocktails, $5 off sandwiches, appetizers and tacos, $3 off wine and $2 off beer.

We arrived at Sweet Pea for Happy Hour and were able to get a table outside right by the river. We enjoyed drinks and appetizers till 5:30 when dinner was starting to be served. We each had a different salad (the two we had were delicious) and had the Bison short ribs for our meal. The bison dish was one... More

At first glance this little restaurant looks like your average small town, mom and pop, quaint little neighborhood joint. The foods I had tonight were the delicacies of a 5 star, top notch, big city restaurant. Even after reading the menu nailed to the tree along the sidewalk at the front entrance, I never expected to eat anything like what... More

While exploring downtown Steamboat Springs yesterday we decided to stop at Sweet Pea for lunch. We were seated at a lovely table on the patio overlooking the river. The restaurant was very busy but we were immediately greeted by Cassidy who introduced herself and took our drink orders. I decided to have the salad trio (Pea, Potato and Beet) which... More

After a morning of shopping and site seeing we checked out several riverside cafes and decided to try Sweet Pea Cafe. What a gem. Fantastic cocktails and the service was great. The bacon and brie sandwich is a new favorite. They have a wonderful Golden potato salad with bacon, lemon, chives...... Oh my holy yummy. Garlic French fries were crunchy... More

After being seated it took almost 15 minutes before our server acknowledged our presence in her section. My wife's hamburger was ordered at medium well, and the burger came out rare at best. The same held true for our daughter's cheeseburger. I had the trout tacos that we're lacking in flavor. There were houseflies landing on our food throughout our... More

Really do not waste your money on this restaurant, the service and the food was horrible. I normally do not write a lot of reviews but must say this restaurant only goes on the fact they are on the river, very expensive and the food was not good at all. Server was not versed on the menu, she actually told... More

Freinds and I are in town for a few days. Stopped tonight to have dinner. Happy hour was a disaster, beer was warm and the service was terrible. We should have walked away at that point but we decided to stay. We tried to order a bison burger but they were out. We were the first ones to order since... More

Sat in the bar at the back and had a couple of drinks after a morning spent shopping. The bar tender was super friendly and helpful in recommending beers etc. Nice atmosphere, lovely setting (by the water) and well worth a visit. We didn't eat, but the food we saw on other tables looked very nice! Had we stayed in... More

Sat right by the river, eating top quality home cooked food. Service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait. Sesame seed calamari was a particular high point!
