Great stop for a shake. Burgers are good but take a few minutes so don't be in a hurry. Service is friendly. Restrooms are free at the next door city park. They have canopy areas for seating if it's raining so don't let that stop you. We went 3-4 times in a week for shakes.

I moved here a couple of months ago to South Fork. Found its the only food that's fast here and it hasn't been that fast, good or value. Burgers are over priced and not flavorful. Service has taken long periods all 4 times I've been there and hasn't been exceptionally friendly. Too bad it's the only place of its kind... More

Nothing fancy but once you place an order and get your burger and fries or take that first sip of their malt you will see why this place is always packed! South Fork doesn't have any chain fast food restaurants but once you eat here you will know why they don't need a chain to have consistently good food.

This place has been around so long and we are so happy it still is operating. Whether you want a burger and fries or just a cone or shake it is all good. Now they are making fresh potato chips....oh, my, you have got to try them as they are wonderful.

The burgers are good, but not at that price. We paid $24 and some odd cents for 2 plain burgers (no cheese), 2 orders of French fries, 2 small malts......to me that is high priced fast food eating!!

Excellent sandwiches...really good fast food. Like the freshness of the items and the fast service. At busy times not enough tables but that is no problem.

The Malt Shop has been an iconic attraction in South Fork for several years, but it has recently gained a new owner who has made some significant changes. She has raised the prices considerably, and somehow lowered the taste of the food. Admittedly a good burger requires good beef. However the new owner is serving a product that is so... More

Slow slow slow service. Average burger, fair fries, you can sit outside under canvas covers. Prices are okay. It is not fast food.

We stopped here when were heading to Durango. It is a roadside hamburger and shake stand. We all had shakes but did not try the food. The shakes were good and were made quickly. The closest restrooms are in the park next door. We would stop here again.
